Dont you just love walking on a nice day? The above animation is of the journey I make many times a week to visit my boyfriend who lives across the town. Various readers have mentioned that they’d love to see more of where I live, but in all honesty, it’s just so boring! If you press play, you’ll be able to hear the music that I listened to as I made the journey – I really love listening to music when i’m traveling, it feels like i’ve got a soundtrack or something! I got this idea from one of my new favourite bloggers, Mariell (you won’t understand it unless you speak Norwegian but it has lovely pictures!) when she recently posted her journey to school.

I just had to see if they lived up to the hype. And they did, they tasted lovely – although I could only have mouthfuls at a time because the taste was so rich. I’ve never eaten macaroons before. I know it’s a little odd that I photographed them on my new underwear (hooray I found a lovely long-line bra!) but I thought that they looked pretty together.
Although, posting these pictures reminded me of a few comments that Sandra received over at the Livejournal community Blackcigarette, simply for posting “pretty” pictures, including her macaroons! People were quick to jump in and say that they think that these pretty pictures are pretentious, and that people are trying too hard to live a “Marie Antoinette” lifestyle. This made me sad, because, for one, i’d never even seen the film and I was also in love with many of the things that were posted, I mean, really, who doesn’t like cakes and sweets and beautiful dresses? It’s a shame that people can’t like things without it meaning something these days. Goodness, I don’t think i’ve ever sounded as angry on here before! Don’t worry, i’ll continue to post things that I think are inspirational and “pretty”. Like macaroons and new underwear..!  |
