Today (by today, I mean last Thursday..damn no internet!) I went out to some gorgeous vintage shops; despite being in London and hunting down vintage shops for the past few months I still hadn’t been to Camden Passage in Islington. Unfortunately, the usual vintage market wasn’t actually on, but I managed to find some great little vintage shops that let me take some pictures. A lot of the clothing was out of my price range, but it was worth looking – some of the pieces looked like amazing costumes from period films. I’d definitely recommend Camden Passage if you’re visiting London, but i’ll give you a proper report when i’ve seen it in full swing, a video, perhaps?! I know the pictures are completely unrelated to the rest of the post, but there is a method in my madness (believe it or not..) and we all like pretty pictures.

I know, it’s nearly Christmas and I STILL haven’t done any shopping, but there was a vintage jumpsuit that I just couldn’t leave behind. When I saw it, I instantly fell in love, but I never thought that it would suit me – jumpsuits are for really tall people, right? Well, after umming and ahhing, I decided that it was worth trying on – i’d only regret it later (and that’s the worst feeling, isn’t it?).
I’ve been watching lots of 60′s french films recently, and it just reminded me of something that Anna Karina would wear in one of her roles, I HAD to have it. It also reminded me of this picture of Michelle Phillips, not that you can see what she’s wearing on the bottom but it’s how I imagine the rest of the picture to look – sweeping flared trousers. Anyway, it’s stripey: another stripey top to add to the rapidly growing collection. After trying it on I decided I didn’t look too hideous, and that was reason enough to snap it up.
(I just noticed how funny the above paragraph is; myself trying to justify my crazy purchase that I haven’t even found a pair of shoes to wear with yet – any tips for shoes to wear with flares?)

Because i’m in Costa Coffee in a bit of a hurry, i’ll leave you with a thought: this post is not as it seems! But more on that soon.. ; ) Miss you all – but i’m home in 2 weeks! x
P.S – I’m REALLY bad at replying to emails recently due to the fact I can’t get online easily, so be patient! x

What kinda photocamera do you have, which type?
My English sucks, i know. But I love your pictures, they are beautifull. And full of atmosphere.
I’m asking a little around about camera’s, because I wanna buy one.
But it’s cool with me if you don’t tell me.
But it would be great if you tell it.
Love, x.

Sat is the best day for the market and the amazing community atmosphere you don’t get in London very often. I recommend The Breakfast Club for brunch too!
I have just found your website and i love it! Your photos of London and the shop in Islington made me very home-sick.I came to London in 2001 to spend just 1 month,I stayed 4 years.I lived in Hoxton which i loved it there.I would spend my days going allover london looking for vintage clothes.I brought back so much but also had to very much behind.I want to come back and visit but i know i will stay.It was a previlge to live in the UK.
Thank You
