I’ve had the idea in my head for some time that I was going to make my own floral headband after I couldn’t find any I liked in my price range online. Unfortunately, this one isn’t quite there yet, when I ordered the paper flowers online I assumed they would be bigger (always read measurements!!) but I thought i’d give it a go anyway.
The headband took around half an hour to make, and was done simply by wrapping the wire-stemmed flowers around an old black headband. It would be far better in a matching colour, or a colour that matched your hair, but it was the only one I had to hand and I’m impatient like that…!
The flowers were bought here. It’s comfy to wear, as long as you make sure all of the wire ends are tucked away neatly. It’s a little too bridesmaid for my liking, so I shall be trying again with larger flowers when I can get my hands on some. What do you think? xx

It’s so cute! I would totally wear that. I think as long as you pair it with something a little more structured and/or masculine, noting too frilly and “bridesmaidy”, on the bottom, you’d be perfectly fine and it wouldn’t have that weddingy vibe at all.
I do a lot of hair pieces too but i have to admit that yours is very adorable. Its very romantique and whimsical and…well i love it.

I think it looks precious with those small flowers. It looks so delicate! I can see why you think it might look bridesmaidy, but I think that, more than looking like a hair band for a bridesmaid, it just looks whimsical and dreamy!
Pretty hair accessories are usually really expensive so it’s great to make them yourself if you can!

I think it’s lovely. I don’t think it looks too bridesmaid, but if you want to avoid that affect maybe wear it with something quite simple like a little black dress or even your boyfriend jeans and a pretty top.
It is a tiny bit bridesmaids-y, but I love it anyway. I actually really like the size of the flowers.
