Flea Market

A Little Film

Nestled up there between the sub-par blurry pictures (I was trying to sneakily take them as I walked past peoples stalls as I was walking to the car..) is a little video Miguel created of the flea market yesterday. It’s not particularly fashion related at all but we wanted to try out a new technique and Miguel never passes up on an opportunity to make a film! For most of it I was completely unaware I was being filmed, hence all the serious-face – plus – I was looking out for bargains (..despite the fact I had no purse with me as i’d left it in Cornwall..but that’s a different story!).

For those of you interested (I was asked a few times on Twitter!) the market is located at the Bath & West showground in Somerset. I would have bought so much furniture if I had any money on me, I was in awe. Despite all the vintage clothes rails I didn’t manage to find anything that excited me..which is just as well..! I’m hoping to go back next time and pick up some bargains.

On a Side Note…

Tomorrow is the last day of voting for the Cosmopolitan Blog Awards..and I know I’ve asked you already and don’t want to sound like an annoying stuck record, but if you haven’t voted yet, i’d love if you could spare a second to vote for WishWishWish in the Fashion & Style category. It’s my birthday tomorrow and would be a fabulous present if I found out i’d somehow won..!

Dungarees by the Sea

A Charity Shop Outfit.

As before, I spent our last day exploring in my ‘comfy’ shoes, which are sadly looking rather worse for wear now (French Sole, you have done me proud!). If I was willing to risk breaking my ankle, I would have wore these dungarees with some of my chunky brown heels, as they’d make the look a little more feminine and help elongate my legs (I was scared of looking dumpy in the baggy dungarees!). But alas, the sloping pathways and cobbled streets had other ideas..

As it says in the title above, this outfit was super cheap as I picked up the shirt and the dungarees in a charity shop some time ago for less than £5 each. Now a nice blouse and a pair of old dungarees are extremely easy to come by and make for a perfect casual outfit – I just cut off the legs of the dungarees and frayed the ends – unfortunately I made them a little too long so they have been rolled up ever since. If you haven’t got a pair of dungarees yet, don’t buy the expensive pairs that have been popping up on the high street, because they are so easy to find second hand – your mum might even have an old pair she’s willing to give up!

Anyway, it made for a nice simple outfit for enjoying a day by the sea, eating even more ice cream (I’m dreading weighing myself after a week of holiday food!). I had a great time – but must say that i’m happy to be back with an Internet connection..! See you tomorrow – i’m off to a flea market this afternoon x

Holiday Snaps

More Walking…

The past few days in Cornwall have involved even more walking..meaning the pairs of heels I brought with me have stayed permanently in the suitcase. These photos are from a few days ago when we decided to walk for miles along the coast line..ugh..I can now conclude that walking is not my thing and neither is dressing for it. I was holding my hat on and my skirt down the entire way – and I thought I had dressed sensibly! Thankfully we got ice cream at the end of the long trek.

Again, not a particularly exciting outfit..but I didn’t bring too much to choose from! I hate living out of a suitcase. The top is from American Apparel and the skirt and hat are from H&M.

Now i’m off to find some lunch (preferably not another Cornish pasty) and take some more photos as today is our last day here..! See you very soon x

Polperro

Seagulls & Cornish Pasties

Here are a few pictures from my first day in Cornwall, which involved lots of walking, fish and chips and beaches in the rain! A typical British holiday. I can’t go in to too much detail today as i’m staying in a small picturesque village that doesn’t even receive phone signal, but i’ve finally managed to get online…! Hooray! As you can see, i’ve been snapping away with my Dad’s old camera which i’m so anxious to get developed – as soon as it they’re done i’ll scan in the best ones and post them up – i’m longing for that old grainy look.

I was wearing my go-to comfy outfit. An American Apparel striped boat-neck top, APC dungarees and my French Sole flats.

See you again very soon with more holiday snaps x
