I really hope you girls haven’t got bored of my Orla Kiely fangirling? I’ll try not to mention them again for at least another week. When I walked into university just the other day I realised I was wearing an Orla Kiely dress, coat and bag at the same time..my crush is beginning to get rather ridiculous, but in spite of that, I wanted to post this video up anyway – it’s a huge inspiration to me. It’s been around on the internet for a little while now, but it’s definitely worth posting for those of you that haven’t seen it.
I know, the clothes are beautiful, but putting them aside, I absolutely love the video as a whole. Like I mentioned before, it’s the kind of thing i’d dream to make with Miguel, on a smaller scale of course. It has that Englishness that reminds me why I fell in love with London before I moved here, without the annoying crowds on Oxford street or overcrowded trains. It looks like an idyllic day out – one I could only dream of right now with work piling up around me. If you too are having a busy weekend, take a few minutes out to watch it and get caught up in running around the streets of London in the most glamorous way possible.
I vote that Miguel & I should make our own rendition when we get a bit of time..perhaps i’ll get storyboarding?! x

Not that I ever was averse to to London, but after seeing that video, I’m now more inspired to visit that place! I really dug how almost genuinely vintage it looked at times.

Last week i visited London from Norway, and had a look at orla kielys beautiful store, I slimply love all her clothes and it feels like she’s makeing clothing just for me, because here design-style suits me so well. I fell in love with the whole store and said to my friend that this is the place i want to die when i do. Surrounded by all these beautiful things. The sad part is that I could not afford anyting, on my student budget. A bitter-sweet feeling.

it’s obviously pretty (although the styling is a bit too “60s cliché” for my liking) but most of it is just copied from Sofia’s Miss Dior Chérie ad, and the original is always better than the copy

I love the borderline judgmental look the shop assistant gives her! I must say Orla Kiely really appeals to me… especially your yellow coat, and some yellow velvet dress I saw somewhere but can never find on their site!
