£3 jumper
It gets to this time of year, and it suddenly hits me: I don’t know what to wear in winter. I used to tell myself that winter was my favourite month for dressing – after all i’m a huge fan of my coat collection, but over the summer my outfits have become simpler, and i’m not ready to leave the dress and heels combo behind just yet.
Whilst I doing the charity shop rounds the other day, I came across this extra large jumper – i’m sure the only things that possessed me to buy it was that it was stripey, and looked extremely comfortable to wear to uni on a cold day – not to mention lazing around the house, which is where this mini shoot was born.
I’m not really one for a 90s look at all, but it sort of came together that way – I blame the heavy influence of my housemate Lucy! (I took photos of her too! Pop over to her blog for a look) Altogether it was very simple: A Topshop mini dress with my charity shop jumper on top, tights and my new Russell & Bromley loafers. Yes, you heard me right – eek! I bought some new shoes. I told myself that I could buy a treat when my student loan finally came in, and I decided the most practical way of spending it would be on some much needed flat shoes – so voila! I’ve been eying up these shoes for over a year so when my other loafers fell to pieces, I knew I needed some to rely on and these are near perfect!
We thought we would take our photos inside for a change, so you could have a peek of our house, and so we could stay warm at the same time! Hope you like them. P.S – Oscar says hello!

SO nice pictures! Your cat is so sweet! I like how you matched the outfit!!

Hello, Oscar, you wee cutie! Great buys. I’ve got these shoes in the cherry colour, they’re so comfy and go with everything – well worth the money!x
Ah the shoes scream perfection. I love flats, since I can barely wear feels, glamorous flats are my go to pieces.

Hi Carrie
I love the £3 jumper, what a find! I have a thing for navy and white stripes. Those loafers are fabulous, I bought an almost identical pair from Russell & Bromley about 20 years ago. They are a classic that just don’t date. Sadly I don’t have them any more. I think I may look out for another pair though…

Hello darling Carrie!
You are just so adorable and sweet. I love your posts, and always look forward to new ones! This post is rather fantastic because I love the outfit and having them indoors is quite a nice little change. Oh, and by the way your house is quite cute from what I can see! I love your cat and all of that yarn.
And I would definitely say the loafers were a fantastic buy! They look adorable…and I love the jumper.
Have a wonderful day!

Hey! Love the loafers!
I had SUCH a dilemma in R&B (ha) when my MOM said she would buy me a pair of brogues for my birthday (I had gone through several pairs of Tesco/New Look ones) and then I got to the shop and there were also loafers to choose from AAAH!
After about an hour of trying on brogues/loafers/brogues/loafers..
I chose the brogues! I guess I thought they would survive through the rainy weather here in Scotland + you know when you have a dream pair of shoes?…
Yet…there is still a part of me that longs for a pair of loafers……
Do you know where I could find a lovely jubbly cheap pair…?

No way – a couple of days ago, after long deliberation, I splurged on the exact same loafers! They’re brilliant, aren’t they? Shall be posting my own showing them off post tomorrow…
Anyway, yes, great taste, I must say
