The Perfect Christmas Dress?
I was sent this dress as a gift from my friend Nina of Family Affairs. I know I bang on about them often enough but their designs fit in my wardrobe so well that I can’t help but splurge on bits and pieces every now and again, so think how elated I was to see this on my doorstep yesterday!
I remembered this dress from last years winter collection – thinking that it looked beautiful and effortless on the model, but perhaps not on a shorter and more rounder me. I’ll fully admit that it isn’t something that I’d purchase for myself after seeing the picture on the website – I was certain that longer length dresses didn’t suit me. Well, that was until yesterday. I felt a bit like Mrs Claus when I first put it on, and I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing! It kept me warm whilst baking mince pies, taking a final trip into town to buy last minute things and curling up on the sofa at the end of the day. I’m not sure I’m a total long-skirt convert yet but this dress certainly helped me feel more confident and comfortable – I kept pretending I was a Mad Men character. Perfect Christmas dress? I think so! I’ll be wearing this a many-a-time over the festive period – thank you Nina!
P.S – The dress is on sale as part of Family Affairs Holiday Treats – from $219 to $87, which I make around £56!
P.P.S – Have an AMAZING Christmas!! I hope you get everything you wishwishwished for ; ) x
