Filler
I know, filler posts are boring, blah blah..but you’ll be pleased to hear that i’ve been working for most of the day editing together the beehive tutorial so many of you have been asking for! I really wanted to get it done to post tonight but unfortunately it’s taking a little too long (i’m a perfectionist!) and I have to get some sleep as it’s Miguel’s 21st birthday tomorrow. I feel like I need to reward him for everything he helps me with, so we’re going to have a little shopping spree and see a film.
News
I wanted to update you with a few bits of news! Firstly, i’m currently doing some work experience at MyFashionLife.com – i’m working on a few features as well as running the “lunchtime buy” every day, so make sure you pop by! It’s been great for getting back into writing ‘properly’ again, i’ve got into such bad habits. This is fantastic practise for when I start my internship at Cosmopolitan.co.uk in a few weeks! eeek!

Secondly, you might have seen me on a couple of blogs in the outfit pictured above – these were taken at a bloggers outing organised by Next last week where we all got together, dressed up and had fun. I planned on posting about it but my heart wasn’t in it – i’m sure you don’t want to be bombarded with pictures of a lucky few of us scoffing canapes etc, however a few pals of mine have done the job exquisitely. If you’re interested you can see all of our looks here – I wasn’t in the mood for styling at all and put on something super simple (I hate competitions!).
Last but not least – if you’re looking for reading material, I was recently interviewed for Cellardoor Magazine’s blog and the post is up! Hope I didn’t say anything embarrassing..
See you soon x

Looks like you guys had fun! Looking forward to the tute.

I’m really looking forward to the beehive post so I don’t mind at all! I’ve seen some other posts about that Next thing, you’re all so lucky for the experience, and I love your little outfit you put together. Casual, but really cute!
The dungarees are fabulous!
Very best of luck with your upcoming internship!

Looks like you guys had fun! Like the pictures and can’t wait your video!
wow, congratulations on the writing projects! I’m sure you’ll go down a storm you have a wonderful aesthetic and your writing is pitch perfect and hits a good tone.
The lace top is nice and if you don’t fancy writing about a freebie just because you got it, then that seems like a good show of integrity.
what’s the beehive tutorial?? i’m getting all excited about it for no reason haha.
Lovely outift!
I’ve been loving that paisley dress since it came out on the asos website
Lovely interview Carrie. It’s funny what you said about the monkeys, when I lived in Ireland I used to go visiting the red pandas every single month and I ended up knowing all of their names!
Have a fantastic weekend and happy birthday to Miguel!

you can seriously pull off any look. You should experiment with over the top things that would be considered ugly and you’d still be amazing haha. Love the grunge look that you have here. Hope all goes well in that internship, and that you will be able to get a great job afterwards too.
