Bicycle!
My favourite part of a holiday is exploring new places – and whilst Vegas might be known for it’s crazy hotels and casinos, I’ve been lucky enough to see a different side too. I’m staying with Miguel’s family who live here, so cycling around, watching American TV and even attending his little brother’s second grade graduation has been on the cards (oops, Vegas pun).
I think one of my favourite pastimes when visiting a new country is to visit the supermarket. I had my first Walmart experience this morning when Miguel and I went on a bike ride, stopping for smoothies on the way. And wow, I must say, if I lived in America I’m sure I’d be double the size that I am now! There are so many unhealthy temptations! I’m so pleased to be in a country that embraces cheese sticks and cheese fries wholeheartedly. I get really excited spotting different names, brands that disappeared in England and generally seeing what I’m missing out on. I might just have to stock up on boxed foods and waffles before I head back…
As for the outfit – goodness knows why I decided to wear my hair down PLUS jeans..I’m trying to stay as protected from the sun as I can, there is nothing like horrible sunburn to put a dampener on your holiday! x

I heard that the frozen hot chocolates (found at Serendipity’s) were to die for. Enjoy your travels!
Your polaroid glasses are adorable, and America must be an exciting experience. It’s nice seeing the other side of Vegas. I’m constantly exposed to the casino, gambling side that appear in all the movies. I hope you;re enjoying yourself. And take lots and lots of photos to share!
The sunglasses match your hair and outfit perfectly. Very 50s chic! It looks beautiful out there.
The sunnies are awesome. I’m loving the vintage Americana 50s feel of these photos. Right out of American Graffitti.

Oh my goodness, I’d love to live in England and have easy access to all the wonderful European foods… European baked goods are far superior to anything you can find in Canada and the US in my opinion. I love European chocolate too.. and haribo candy. YUM.
However if you have a fondness for anything fried, then yes, the US is the best place to be.
I want to visit the US so much! I’d love to see all the yellow school buses & just silly little things like that!
Your outfit is lovely, I think those sunglasses were made for you! Hope you’re having an amazing time.

Well, I would say there’re lots of overweight British people too. Food chains and fast food on every corner, not very diferent from USA…
I never said Americans are overweight?
You look wonderfully vegas here somehow. Perhaps it’s the sunglasses, which are amazing. I need some in my life to play movie stars in.
This is just wonderful. Looking at these pictures reminds me of when I went to stay with my closest friend who is from Vegas. Made me feel like I was back there again.
