Carrie & Miguel
We’ve literally forgotten our ‘anniversary’ every year up until this one, but 5 years seems special…and Facebook reminded me! Oh so romantic, right?!
It was 5 years ago today that Miguel “asked me out” outside one of his gigs (he used to be in a band). I was 15, he was 16, and we bonded over Photoshop and our other geeky tendencies. I don’t tend to mention him too often on here aside from that he takes a lot of the pictures of me, but he’s the best friend that I could ever ask for, and I’d like to thank him so much for all the help he gives me with this blog (and for having a Canon 5D *ahem*). Now I’ll leave it there before I get too mushy…!
I searched for a nice picture of us together – only to realise that most of them are us making the most ridiculous faces, kissing, or at a party, where an inebriated Miguel is wearing a fake moustache (don’t ask..it’s an odd party tradition). And I wouldn’t want to subject you to that!
We’re heading to the cinema tonight, bet you’d never have guessed ; ) x

Just a quick post to let you know about my eBay items before it’s too late!
I realised after quickly plonking together that little graphic above, that “Buy my clothes!!!!” sounds a little pushy – you are certainly under no obligation to buy my clothes! Haha. That being said, there are some very pretty things indeed so it’s worth a peek!
I’ve put up some practically new items that I just didn’t wear enough, or didn’t fit anymore, including some pretty dresses, a Luella top, Family Affairs shorts and the amazing Dear Creatures dress above. Ahh! I’m sad to see them go but I need the money..and hopefully they’ll find homes that love them a little more. I did the usual thing of getting certain items out, photographing them, writing about how great they are and then deciding, “Hey! That’s a great deal..I want it!” and keeping them myself. Bad eBayer.

Miguel and I must have a “cinema date” every couple of weeks, but that doesn’t mean we enjoy them any less! Going to the cinema together at the weekend is our favourite pastime – I’m always medium popcorn and he is always large, preferably accompanied by a peach flavour ice tea (unfortunately that’s usually only in Portugal!). This time around we went to see Horrible Bosses, which was pretty funny. I think it’s important to do things like that when you’re not busy working – we’re both rather poor at the moment but obviously favour popcorn over a real meal because we keep returning!
We spent the day taking photos for a little job I’m doing, so were a little photoed-out by the time we took these. Perhaps I’ll document one of our cinema dates in full later this week – it’s our 5 year anniversary, and guess where we’re heading? Yup, cinema. Perhaps even the man himself will show his face!

Autumn Winter 2011
I don’t usually post lookbooks – the usual suspects like TBA are normally plastered all over the internet way before I get there! But I don’t recollect seeing the Goldie lookbook on any of my favourite blogs recently, so it’s worth a share, don’t you think?! Ashamedly, I live in my own little bubble, and I’ve not come across the London-based label before. But their AW11 offerings have put them firmly on my radar!
I’ve posted the usual Carrie-friendly outfits above (ohhhh how I want the velvet dress with frilly white cuffs!) but the rest of the collection is equally as inspiring with lots of floaty 70s shapes that I’d more than willingly dabble with in the near future. It seems silly to be lusting after velvet dresses in July, but it just means I can save up to get them when they arrive in stores later in the year. And judging by the prices of the cute things they have in store at the moment, it won’t take me long either. Yay, new dream label to add to the list! x
