‘Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na)’
You may or may not know that My Chemical Romance happen to be my favourite band, ever. I saw them for the first time when I was 14, and it’s my 21st tomorrow – so it’s been a while! I can’t ever pass up a chance to see them in the UK, (*cough*5timesthisyear*cough*) and whilst I can’t make it to every show, I made sure I had tickets for their headline slot at Reading Festival. I took along my mum – my only friend that loves them too!
Thankfully they weren’t bottled like they were back in 2006 (I was nervous about it all day) and put on an amazing show – I lost my voice from singing so loud, as per usual. I’m always my happiest when I’m watching a band a love.

I thought it would be a great idea to deny the weather the pleasure of ruining my outfit by wearing brogues, not realising that it would get quite as muddy as it did! So ended up completely ruining my black patent pair, and having to buy a pair of wellies. Booo!
And my once wavy hair soon turned a little sad looking after being rained on all morning. Did you notice that I tried a centre parting for a change? It was nice not having to keep it all behind my ears for once! x

You look so cute. i love you’re outfit. The red lipstick made everything pop. Your jacket is amazing. I love wellies personallly but your brouges would have looked amazing. I love your hat
i love going to see my favorite band and im glad you had a great time
your outfit looks great with the wellies! a true festival outfit, haha!
great outfit to see a great band! love your blog. just moved to london from new york, it’s a great city! xx
You look so beautiful!
i wouldn’t be surprised if your white blouse got ruined too! lovely outfit (: xx
I love the middle part!
I love it when bloggers say/do/like something totally unexpected, like My Chemical Romance! Haha. I saw them once as well, almost 7 years ago.
You look so different when you do your hair like that. But still so pretty. I really like the extensions.
And I think the outfit looks like you brought Wellies in the first place. Perfect match!
xx
Your hair and your red lips look really nice!! About the wellies, don’t worry, they look amazing with the rest of the outfit!

My mum was the only friend I had who liked My Chem too! I wonder why it is? Somehow it doesn’t seem as bad as girls whose mums are more obsessed with Edward Cullen than they are…
Ok, seriously, you look completely different with the looong hair…! They give you a totally different feeling! You look so pretty! The red lipstick played its’ part, too!
Gorgeous punk rocker look!
You look amazing and the atmosphere looks radical. And happy early birthday
This is so awesome, Carrie! They were my favourite band when I was 15 and I went to see them in Minneapolis a few months ago while I was studying abroad- even though it was a 3 hour drive!! I first saw them when I was 16 and I have seen them 4 times since but it had been years since I saw them last!
I used to go to Leeds festival every year and would have definitely gone to see them but I just hate the camping part these days!
Bet they were awesome. They always are.

I love the song “Sing”. It’s by them, isn’t it? Sounds like a lot of fun. I’ll be seeing my favorite band, too, this year. Royal Republic. They are amazing. I can’t wait
xx
woah, carrie! you look so darn different! i adore the central parting on you, plus you look just lovely with your extensions in! you look beautiful. xx
Waiting for you to tell us one day that a modelling agency has snapped you up as the next big thing as you are so photogenic and as bright as a button.
WAAAAAOO you look fabulous in those rockn rolla clothes!
I loove your red lipstic, hat and leather jacket! You look very nice!
That outfit is a perfect festival outfit…like everyone else above, I agree that the wellies looked as if you purposely picked them. And I LOVE the red lipstick. What brand/color is it? I’m on the hunt for the perfect shade but everything I find seems to look to pink based.
Also I was wondering how well the extensions held up in the rain. Did the quality suffer? I’m thinking of an investing in a pair and wanted to make sure they would last before I did.
Thanks! xxoxxxx
I hope you have a very happy birthday! Love the lipstick – and the chips with cheese, the snack I miss most from Britain!
Really glad you enjoyed MCR. I watched their performance live on TV and couldn’t help but wish I was on that venue. They put up such an amazing performance. xx

Your outfit is cute and the centre parting suits you VERY well!
I totally saw on the Friday heading in! You where walking though red camp on the grass looking very nervous about the mud in your brouges. I would of said hi but you looked very distressed by the mud. Glad to see you had a good time though!
I love your outfit here! You look so festival cool!! I wish I looked that good when I went to Leeds festival last year! But sadly I have yet to work out the sleeping in a tent to looking stylish routine. glad you had fun, well aside from the brogues xx
I was so smitten with them when I was 15, but I still love listening to their Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge and belting out all the songs! I saw them recently when they were here, and I got to do a little meet and greet and shook their hands! Haha! You look absolutely adorable by the way! I love your outfit!
i fell in utter and complete love with your motorcycle jacket the minute i saw it on you here and just had to talk all about it over in my blogging neck of the woods today. wanna take a peek:

Ahh My Chemical Romance! I used to love them. And the Used. I saw them a couple of times as well – wonder if we were at the same gig!?
This outfit is incredible, seems quite different from your usual style but you suit it so much! Especially the lips.
