The Mid-Somerset Show
Today I was stood in a field, surrounded by tractors, cows, and tents full of ‘prizewinning’ oversized vegetables, watching The Wurzels (..”I’ve got a brand new combine-harvester”? Anybody? No?..). And after living in London for the past couple of years, I couldn’t help but think that if I brought any of my friends along, they’d find it rather odd – all the “ohh-arr”ing and cider drinking. Still, I suppose each county must have it’s own, slightly embarrassing (but loveable all the same!) equivalent, right?
My favourite part has to be looking at the rabbits and poultry – sounds strange, but there are some beautiful birds that almost look like they are in costume – check out this guy – he was probably one of the most fashionable people at the show. Although if you’re into that English ‘heritage’ look, there were wax jackets a-plenty ; )
My mum told me I looked the part in my gingham – a bit like the lid of jam jar I suppose! The top was just a few dollars from a thrift store in Vegas, with a skirt from American Apparel and a bag from Primark.
Oh, and I hope I haven’t made your mouths water too much with all my pictures of food! People must have thought I was odd taking pictures of cheese! Perhaps I should enter them in the photography competition next year and try my luck at winning the grand prize of £3!! x

I LOVE THE END PHOTOOOOO!!!

Ah man, how could you not photograph the owls?!
I adore these cider drinking country happenings, there’s always tons of amazing food and people sings and you can breath relax in the air! I’m usually more of a “city flower”, but the country life always feels so refreshing, it’s like if your body and mind really needs it!
And you look adorable with this skirt and cropped shirt Carrie

I know I’m going to have that darn combine harvester song in my head for the rest of the day now! Lovely look, that skirt is just the right amount of flared (or do they call it “flippy” I always find that word kind of weird..) I love Somerset cider so I’m rather envious.. as a Londoner we don’t have anything that good! xx
Oh niiice, this actually looks like summer! I’ve been missing out on it this year, so let’s hurry to autumn and winter, shall we?

hmmmm that cheese looks so yummy. God I miss good cheese. You look super lovely in that outfit x
I think it looks just lovely. These photos remind me of Enid Blyton’s short stories about country fairs. I know, I have very little other references for England, so I hope you’ll forgive me. Thank you for sharing.
