Old Stuff
Another part of my “action-packed” weekend was to travel back to my hometown with two of my best blogger friends, Lucy of Snippets of Shiny Thoughts and Kristabel of I Want You To Know (and Miguel, of course!). It just happened to coincide with the Giant Flea Market that comes to town every few months, so had to take them along to ogle some old stuff. I posted a little video when I went last year, and it was equally as impressive this time – even if the rain had meant there weren’t as many stalls outside.
Miguel wasn’t as enthusiastic about the rows upon rows of old trinkets and furniture, but as it went, was the only one that came out with anything – postcards of London during WWII for a project. Us girls spent our time deciding how our houses would look if only we had a blank canvas and a few bob in our pocket, as well as using it as a bit of a photography lesson for Kristabel who had brought along her new camera.
I could spend so much money there if I had anywhere left to clutter up – the furniture is just amazing with great prices to match. Definitely worth a visit if you’re on the lookout for some “new” old furniture, from old church pews to school lockers and deck chairs.
As for the outfit – I just threw on an old Topshop dress with my vintage leather jacket and bowler hat that I knew I wanted to take back with me (that’s how light I was traveling!). And of course, a pair of comfy shoes..sadly another pair that have run their course, but it’s okay, it was my birthday yesterday and I got some brand new ones to replace them with, but more on that soon ; ) x

What a lovely coincidence, me and my best friend went for a HUGE vintage & antiques shopping trip this week, travelling from the likes of Wales to Birmingham and London in search of the perfect pretty vintage dresses and home decor! I wish I’d had my camera- you’ve done the right thing documenting it all! Lovely pictures.

Ahhhh I love this post so much! The flea market looks absolutely incredible, I love the photos you managed to take of everything! Mind, if I went with Richard, he wouldn’t be too pleased about all the bric-a-brac either, haha, but that sort of thing is always my favourite! Oh, to have a place of my own!
