Orla Kiely SS12

Dream Collection

If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you’ll know I’m an Orla Kiely girl. I adore almost everything this woman produces, so it’s an honour to be able to attend her presentation each season at London Fashion Week. And I know how much you all love the collections too, so I feel some sort of responsibility to show you, as if you were there with me. I can safely say, it’s the bit I look forward to the most out of the entire schedule, and this season was no exception!

This time, the models were back, chilling in sun loungers or standing on rotating podiums, looking as beautiful as ever. The prints and shapes this season are my favourite from Orla for a while, with drop-waists and A-Line silhouettes in varying fabrics – I often spot a favourite dress, the one that I hope will go on sale at some point so I can get my paws on it, but this time I couldn’t choose. Everything was so wearable, and I’d happily spend my entire summer in this charming collection. It completely comes to life in the video that was playing via a projector onto a huge screen that filled the room..but more on that in a minute!

As usual, I spent far too long snapping away, waiting until I was sure I had seen all the looks (the girls were on rotation), and when Orla herself popped over to say hello, I assumed it was because she had recognised me as the crazy fangirl that hangs around for far too long each season. Instead, she said thank you for my kind words and support each season – I thought she must have me mistaken for someone else until she said that, of course, she knows my blog and reads from time to time. I was amazed, and it certainly put a huge smile on my face for the rest of the day, so if you’re reading, Thank you Orla and your lovely team!

The Film

Look what I managed to get my hands on to show you! I could write so many adjectives about this video..but unfortunately LFW is beckoning and I haven’t much time, but you can see for yourself – it’s perfect x
