“It’s 33° degrees, and I’m wearing a bowler hat.”

My photos from Portugal are coming to an end – we returned last week, and things are in full swing again for my last year of university. Whilst I’ve been wrapped up in jumpers, hats and socks for the past week, it can’t harm to daydream for a little longer about ice cream and blue skies.

These photos were taken on a trip into Lisbon – I’d been plenty of times before, but hadn’t felt like I’d really explored it, so spent the day wandering aimlessly with Miguel. It’s was a very hot day, so I felt horrible and sweaty. As did my camera that decided to leave a strange haze on the majority of my pictures, which don’t quite do the city justice! I absolutely love the way the old shop signs remain, usually with the same business inside too. And family-run shops that just couldn’t exist alongside the commercial giants if they were here in London, like a butchers or haberdashery shops almost opposite Zara or H&M.

So yes, the weather in Lisbon didn’t really warrant wearing a bowler hat. This particular one was from Romwe.com, along with my top and shorts. I’d seen lots of bloggers posting about Romwe, so clicked over and realised they had some sort of blogger program. I signed up, as I’ve always been interested in this kind of website, but had never ordered anything before.

I picked a few of the cheaper options, which in hindsight might be why they aren’t the best quality. The shirt doesn’t actually unbutton, and I believe both that and the shorts only came in the dreaded “one size”, which fortunately was just big enough for me. I was pulling the teeny pair of shorts down all day though, and I hate feel self conscious in my clothing. The hat on the other hand is my new favourite!

I still have a few more pictures from my film camera to post, so summer isn’t quite over yet I’m afraid ; ) x
