Hello, Somerset!
I think you can tell from the pictures that I’m back home in the countryside! I arrived on Friday night and I’m settling back in to the sleepy ways of Somerset and so happy to be back with my family. Knowing how much I love decorating the house for Christmas, they left the most important job till I got back – the tree. And like every year, we drove around the county (Mum giving dad directions, Dad complaining, my brother and I singing internet memes) on the hunt for the perfect one.
After stopping for lunch (or dessert in my case!) and a spot of shopping at a farm shop, we found our tree at our third destination. A handsome looking tree of the right shape and height that we’ll be hard at working decorating this afternoon with all manner of things myself and my brother have made throughout childhood.

Not much of an outfit post I know, but you can spot my new minty bag from Romwe! Isn’t the colour amazing? My coat is from Urban Outfitters, but I can show you that properly soon. I was training my brother George up on how to use my camera, so I’m sure I can squeeze in many more outfit posts while I’m back, if I can drag him away from his computer..! Not sure I fancy going back to my old tripod and self timer method! x

The colour of the bag is so pretty! I love how it contrasts with the colour of your hat.
WOW! The bag is truly amazing!

Your parents were so sweet to leave the tree picking as the last thing just for you! Some dear things from our childhood never change, I’m 30 this year and my parents still do that with me

And well, either your lens is quite amazing or your photographing skills run in the family, your brother has done a great job with the pictures! I love these kind of everyday life posts, they feel so heartwarming
Have a lovely sunday Carrie!

I love these photos – they’ve made me feel really festive! I had such fun picking out my tree with my parents this year – I used to go to a boarding school so I had not actually chosen the family tree since I was 9 years old!
This is such a cute post!!
