Bloom
A bit of a mix and match post. This past week has been so busy – including lots of nice things, as it’s important to make time for them too. The photos above were taken on Miguel’s birthday – we went for a stroll around London, including a quick stop at the florist in Liberty – I always have such an urge to take outfit shots here, it looks so beautiful. Tourists coupled with Miguel’s desire not to have to take any pictures on his birthday means I’ll have to head back another day to get my flowery outfit pictures. It’s not very clear, but I’m wearing a little blue boucle jacket and matching shorts underneath my coat – I would have been as bright as the flowers if it was warm enough to have shed my layers. Our walk was followed by dinner and a ‘cinema date’. We went to see Hugo, which was beautiful – I came out wanting to look just like Isabelle, and completely full of popcorn (not a fantastic way to achieve the gamine look).
Another day saw Lucy and I meeting with Mariell for afternoon tea at The Wolseley. I had no idea what this place was like until I arrived to a gaggle of tourists outside proclaiming they had just seen Stephen Fry exiting. Of course, the tea was divine, as was my company. We left when it was dark, and Lucy and I wandered around the houses in Mayfair, deciding what on earth we could do with our lives to be able to afford a house there (any ideas?!!)
And now back to reality as I get ready for an afternoon of dissertation! Outfitty posts soon, I promise x

If you do move there can you please adopt me as a pet?
It sounds like a lovely few days!

Ooooo macaroons that place looks adorable. I hope Miguel had a lovely birthday
Oh wow, I love flowers, and those baby macaroon cakes look really yummy! I’d love to go for a posh afternoon tea!
Carrie and fans of wishwishwish…Please check out my blog!
I started it this summer, and I’m going to be posting more once my last exam is over tomorrow!

Oh I want to see ‘hugo’ as well, looks like a great movie. And Isabelle looks super nice indeed. It is important to make time to do such nice things, I should remember that more often! Congrats with Miguels birthday and have a nice Thursday
Definitely! I refuse to work constantly and not have a couple days off to enjoy things, I get grumpy otherwise! Make sure you do, too! x
Love the flowers! I miss summer.
Oh these white flowers are so gorgeous! And this tart, oh this tart seems delicious!

What lovely photos! I can never seem to stop myself at florists and want to buy everything. The tea party looks amazing, so British it makes me a little homesick!
Also congratulations on your feature in Company magazine with Miguel, you guys make a lovely and well dressed couple
Thank you! That’s very sweet of you to say : ) x
Love to see your pictures
It looks like you have been having a lovely time! Every time I pass the Liberty florist I can’t help but stop and take a photo – I have so many pictures from there!
Sounds like Miguel had a really nice birthday, and the afternoon tea place is quite a delight. You look beautiful as always, Carrie. x

Hugo was marvelous, has gotten me even more interested in cinema. And the little sub plots surrounding people in the station was adorable! Im like you and can’t function unless I have a few nice outings here and there
xx Carina
Ahhh agreed! It was such a good film! x
I love the flowers at Liberty! Such a nice way to enter a shop
Your days out looked like so much fun that I’m now going to book some train tickets to go down to London this weekend. You just can’t get afternoon tea like that in Leamington Spa! Good luck on your dissertation. I’m spending my afternoon doing the same thing, eurgh! xx

It looks like such a pretty day out you had, those flowers have me longing for spring already and we haven’t even had snow yet, it’s been such a mild winter I’m wondering whether I should break out those floral dresses already xoxo
love love everything about this post. it’s so beautiful!
Tell me about it, I hate stressful schoolperiods. The florist look so nice, but I hate buying flowers, they die so soon
The tearoom looks nice, never went out for a tea. Because I always go for coffee in a barista, except chai latte!
And ooh, i love macarons, should visit France for that. What will be during summer! xx
Liberty is truly one of my favourite places in London. The flowers are always stunning and I can spend hour upon hour inside, looking at all the beautiful things. Sounds like you had a lovely day! good luck with the dissertation

Beautiful photos!
Afternoon tea is an obsession of mine–I have never been here but passed it many times on the way to Afternoon tea at the Ritz, which is my old faithful. I know I should try new places but what if its just not as good? But then those macaroons could sway it for me.
great photos!!!! I loved Hugo!!! its was such and enchanting story and Chloe Moretz looks in her cute french outfits!!!
Those flowers are lovely. I believe most of the Mayfair houses are owned by Middle-Eastern Shieks etc so you might have to marry one of them
Or win the lottery.
aww lovely photos, so colourful
wow, such wonderful photos! and your outfit is great, looks like a perfect day!

I’ve always wanted to see Hugo! I absolutely love the pastries. It doesn’t help that it is 6:53am and that I am at work on an empty stomach, hahaha!

I love flowers and pictures of florists. Your hair looks very long, are you still using those extensions you talked about a few months ago?
x
That’s all my real hair! And yes, I still use them! Usually just the shorter pair to give me more volume : )
Ohh, I SO want to watch that movie with my son!
