Taylor Taylor
Hello! I haven’t disappeared – it’s my last year of uni, and apparently I’m great at putting things off so have been squirrelling away at the first half of my Final Major Project for a week. Phew. Anyway, I’m back with a bit of a change, my hair!
My poor thin hair has been looking it’s most boring over the past year, which is unusual for me as I like to have something interesting, so thought it was about time I did something about it. Well, not me as much as my wonderful stylists, Jenny and Marcelo at Taylor Taylor in Spitalfields. I always think if I’m going to get my hair cut (which happens around once a year, oops) I just as well go somewhere impressive, and I definitely made the right choice in Taylor Taylor, it was the most luxurious hair cut I’ve ever had! I’m sure you can tell from the pictures, too. The place is just beautiful.
Both my stylists knew exactly what I wanted, and I was completely confident trusting them with my hair. As you can see if you have a quick scroll down, I opted to go a few shades darker and get a full fringe. I admit, it’s a lot Deschanel, but who doesn’t want to look like her at the moment? I’ve had a few people I know not recognise me, and I’m still having great fun seeing it looks styled in different ways. In the picture my fringe looks a little longer than it is as it’s not had time to spring back up after my blow-dry, before anybody worries about my sight!
My desire for a full fringe began last year when I was talking to Elodie in Paris; she said how getting he fringe had made her feel like a new person. That played on my mind and I couldn’t wait to get a new look. She was right – I have been adjusting to the ‘new Carrie’, seeing what make-up works with my new colour, and which up-dos look best. I’m finally used to catching myself in the mirror. It sounds strange, but I almost feel more like myself than with my natural colour, having spent my teenage years with black and purple hair. I’m excited to show you properly!
Thank you Taylor Taylor! I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face when I left the salon. x

woow :O
I can definitely see the dechanel peeping out of that hairstyle! It suits you so well, and its nice to have a change as you say – its a bit more edgy than girly girly! And the salon is divine!!! xx
Wow! Beautiful! It suits you very well.
I really like the place also, the interior looks so lovely!

Wow, you look so different! I absolutely love it though!
You’re absolutely right about not be recognised by people that know you – and I’d like to think I know you pretty well haha! Dad showed me your picture. He said’ do you know who that is?’ I had a quick look and said ‘no’, I started walking away and it hit me – ‘OMG’ I said…couldn’t believe that I didn’t recognise my own lovely daughter!
You look amazing mate, it really suits you.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
That salon looks so gorgeous…I wish there was something like that where I live! Your new hair really suits you, and you were so right to treat yourself…that place looks so luxurious! x
A fringe is never a bad move in my books! Cut mine at 16 and never looked back
Can’t wait to see your new hair in action.
Nadinoo x
I love it! I’ve been thinking about getting a fringe, too. But I am obsessed with getting my hair at ONE length. All of it. And I don’t really know if I could live with cutting it so short at one. I don’t know. I guess, I have to think about it for another thousand years.
xx
This colour is so naturally beautiful and makes me want to have some chocolate
. Tasty look.
Shiny chocolate colours always look rich.

The new hair looks so lovely, Carrie! Can’t wait to see how you style it.
One word springs to mind here – Wow.
It looks amazing, you really really really suit it! I’ve been debating whether to take the plunge and get a full fringe cut in for the past few months and you may have just convinced me…
xxxx

Oh, I LOVE your new hairstyle! I can’t wait to see how it meshes with your clothes, and whether it inspires some new outfits!

This new hairstyle is beautiful and it fits you really well!! I love your photos always but why don’t you ever smile widely?! You are very beautiful,it’s a pity you use the same pose every time..! No offence,I’m not saying any of this in a bad way, I just believe you’d look beautiful if you smiled more in your photos!
I never have, I hate showing my teeth. We all have things I don’t like about ourselves, right? That’s mine. I’m sure you can understand : )
Lovely and very fitting.

You look extremely lovely, fringe really suits you, as well as darker shade. Can’t wait for more photos of your new hair!
So Zooey =)
Wow! Your new do makes you look so different, but it completely suits you! Were you afraid to make your hair darker?
Not really as it had been even darker before, so I knew how it would look
x
Beautiful! You resemble Zooey now
Wow I love it! I think it makes you look a bit older and more sophisticated too. It’s a lovely shade, not too brash like some darker colours can be.
Love your new hair. You really suit a fringe
Makes me miss mine haha!
I love it! I see what you mean, it is very Deschanel in a really good way!
It’s making me want a fringe–but after cutting too much of my hair off {its now about shoulder length and hopefully growing very quickly} think I need to let it grow first…
Really suits you Carrie! Definitely a good choice.
What a beautiful-looking salon, I totally want to get my hair done there.
Your hair looks amazing! So lovely.
Lovely new style! I have a fringe too and, corny as it sounds, when I first had it put in a few years ago, I feel like it transformed me. Now, despite the maintenance, I can’t believe I haven’t always had it : )
It’s great having a haircut that just looks completely different, right? I think you look wonderful, the fringe really suits you and the colour looks beaut! XO
Love love love it!!
A fringe is always a far far dream for my extreme curly hair

Your hair is pretty, and even your salon is cute!
I love your new hair, the colour is so pretty and the fringe looks great on you.
I am going the opposite way at the moment, growing out the full fringe I’ve had for 10 years, feels a bit strange
