Victoria Sponge
Working on a piece for Wish (yes, working on your own magazine has it’s perks!), my partner in crime Lucy and I spent an afternoon at Kensington Palace – that’s where Kate and Wills, live don’t you know?! We dined in The Orangery, a beautiful setting where I had been before to watch , but as a junk-food lover, expensive meals that barely touch the sides aren’t my thing – so we finished off with a big ol’ slice of Victoria sponge. The perfect choice considering we were off to explore Queen Victoria’s former abode!
You always forget about things to see that are right under your nose, which can be easily done when living in busy London, so this was a the perfect excuse to mosey round a building so rich in British history – especially with the jubilee fast approaching. It was extremely tourist friendly..which I thought a shame as I like to see these old buildings in an original state, but I definitely learnt a thing or two about monarchs past..!
Continuing the British theme, I dressed as an Orla Kiely girl in one of her dresses and coats, and yup, I’m back in those poor worn out Gap sandals again. Summer after summer, they’re my comfiest heels, offering an extra few inches when they are needed the most. I’ve tried to find another pair, but I’ve never found any that match up in the comfort stakes. Expect to see them for another summer’s worth of outfit posts! x

Coat - Orla Kiely | Dress - Orla Kiely | Shoes - Gap | Glasses - Cherry Humbug

Another gorgeous outfit, looks like the perfect afternoon out as well. Can’t wait to be back in the UK to explore all the historical sites again, I miss it so much. Those GAP shoes are amazing, they look surprisingly comfy!

(sorry, i had to)
I visited the Orangerie the other day. Such a beautiful space – I imagine if I was rich I would hire it out for some lovely extravagent event.
You look adorable. I especially love the coat. And I guess we all have such favourites among our shoes. I say we should cherish them
Those glasses are the best! Isn’t it depressing when you find the perfect shoes and then no other shoes can live up? And then the first shoes wear out and you’re stuck with second-grade shoes… okay. I’m a little shoe obsessed.
I love visiting places like this, though I’ve never visited Kensington Palace before. Definately going to have to put that on my list of places to visit haha! You look lovely too! The dress and coat are so cute. Have a lovely week!
These pictures (like all yours) are gorgeous. Looks like you had the loveliest afternoon. Those desserts look so nice, gosh. You looked great as well!

Too cute! I love the outfit.
It is very easy to overlook things to do in your own backyard. I’m trying to be better about that too.
