A Flying Visit
A little while ago now, Miguel and I flew off to Italy to the beautiful city of Bologna for the Linea Pelle exhibition. I can’t believe I’ve only just had the time to post the pictures – it was one of the prettiest places I’d ever had the pleasure of visiting, with the centre of the city full of it’s original architecture. The arcades were on every street, some of my favourite selling everything from pasta and fish to flowers. We imagined living there, buying fresh produce and cooking delicious Italian dishes rather than popping to Tesco for a ready-made macaroni cheese. But everything is always that romantic when you’re away from home, isn’t it? And it probably would have seemed even more idyllic had the sun been shining. Sadly I was looking a little fuzzy thanks to the rain.
Despite the grey sky, I thought I’d finish my rather seventies inspired ensemble with a big ol’ pair of sunglasses – I feel a bit cheated if I go away somewhere and the weather isn’t up to scratch, so in typical British manner, I like to pretend! We took these outfit shots in what I believe was the University of Bologna (somebody correct me if I’m wrong!), a courtyard that looked as beautiful as the rest of the city – Miguel and I were sighing all the way around our tour of the city, frustrated that we couldn’t capture just how pretty it was on camera. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a visit there, we didn’t check out much of the shopping but the food was certainly exceptional (spaghetti bolognese, anyone?!).
I consumed a ridiculous amount of pasta on our short time in Italy, completely unavoidable, as far as I’m concerned! More carbs/clothes in the next instalment!

Hi Carrie,
I have a question for you; since I am in the U.S, is Wish Magazine still available for me to purchase? I hope so, as I am drooling over it!
Thanks!
wow!!! lovely photos!!! you look stunning girl!! you guys take the BEST photos!!!
I was back in Italy for the weekend, and my parents there live in the area hit by the earthquakes. It was really horrible, the longest 20 seconds of my life I think. Luckily enough we managed to minimise the victims, but as Rosaspina was saying our hearts break when we saw our past crumbling down with the castles and churches… your photos are even more beautiful now that they are charged with this whole new meaning.

Beautiful photos
It’s the first time I comment and I do so, just to let you know that I feel addicted to your blog. I love the vintage feeling, the photos, the innocence, the colors. Keep it this way and I hope one day to cooperate with you. xxx
Love your style!!And your photos of Bologna are beautiful , even with the bad weather
The city seems to be very cool and romantic through the lens of your camera, and this makes me happy because I live in Bologna and I think you’ve cought the feelings of the city! Hope you come to get more photos with the sun (maybe when the earthquakes stops…) and eat tortellini!!!
hugs!!
p.s.: please stop saying “spaghetti” alla bolognese…they’re not spaghetti, they’re “tagliatelle” (don’t know why in the rest of the word they say spaghetti!!XD)
Darling your photos are more then wonderful!:)
