Pizza, Pasta & Plaits

Day 2

The last day of our quick stop in Bologna was spent hiding from the rain (made easy thanks to their beautiful covered walkways) and deciding which of the many pasta dishes to choose from when ordering lunch!

I wore my Swedish Summer dress from Family Affairs, with an Licia Florio (Italian!) dress worn as a cover-up. I have a bit of a habit for dressing to blend in to my surroundings, much to Miguel’s dismay when he’s trying to photograph me. My burnt orange cardi couldn’t have fit in any better with our terracotta surroundings – you have thought I’d planned it. A simple outfit for a simple day, with my comfy shoes on to make the most of the opportunity to explore a new city (I never understand how some of you bloggers can walk around in heels all day, I’m far happier with feet firmly on the ground!).

Bologna was a complete feast for the eyes, our feet were tired and our camera card full by the time we left. I’d love to visit again, but I’ll cross fingers for sunshine next time! x

P.S – A huge thank you to all of you that have purchased Wish magazine! Our pre-sale copies are selling fast, so make sure you get your order in for when they arrive!

Ha, I had homemade fresh tagliatelle today for lunch as well πŸ™‚ It’s so hard to live in Italy when you like food and have a special weakness for anything carbs!
I love when you style your hair in Heidi braids, I gave it a go too the other day and it’s so fun and comfortable πŸ™‚
    Come back to Italy soon!

These pictures made me smile πŸ™‚ I love the adventure of new cities and between this post and the last I think Bologna is a place I want to pin as a future vacation. I’ve been to other major cities in Italy, but this one seems to also have it’s own charm. I loved the dress worn as cover up and your hair is so lovely.
