Penhaligon’s of London
You may have heard me mention fine perfumers Penhaligon’s over the past month as they feature as Wish magazine’s sole sponsor, meaning there have been a fair few of their beautiful bottles scattered about the house ready to photograph for various bits and pieces! Getting to know the brand through working with them has been a delight – their values couldn’t be closer to my own; made in England with a strong focus on the story or emotion behind their scent, rather than what is deemed trendy at any point in time. Timelessness is imperative if you’re still selling fragrances that were conceived in the 1900′s, but Penhaligon’s pulls it off perfectly, with 34 differing fragrances to their name. You’d only need to step inside one of their pom-pom filled-windowed London boutiques to understand why I’m so passionate about them!
After having our pick of bottles to photograph for a feature, I quickly decided on my favourite of the bunch – Lavandula. I never thought I’d fall for a lavender, but a spritz of this sweet floral is a far cry from the soapy associations I’d had with the smell. Not to mention, the bottle is pretty perfect too, right? A welcome addition to my dressing table, that’s for sure.
It makes a welcome change to wear something that hasn’t been advertised at every bus stop and in every glossy magazine; I feel quietly confident walking around smelling that bit more unique!
P.s – if things are a little quiet over the next few days, it’s because I’m about to fly over the pond! Expect 100% more sunshine in posts to come! x

I love the retro style of the perfume, flowers and your hairstyle! It’s seems like early 20th century ♥

Penhaligon’s is one of my favourite perfumeries! These photographs are beautiful, and you look stunning! I was wondering where your dress was from? xx
Beautiful photographs! My wedding bouquet was lavender. I should try out the scent, if only to be sentimental! xoxo

I thought these shots were from a perfume campaign featuring Felicity Jones, then I realised it was you! Yes. That is amazing.
These photos are just lovely! So delicate and feminine.
What are your favorite perfumes for summer?
Great post with very strong imagery.
I discovered Penhaligon’s after Ines de la Fressange mentioned them as her favourite place for talk powder in a French magazine (pretty chic credentials).
Their Bluebell has become my summer fragrance. I’ve used their Lavendula body cream too, I liked its very subtle smell.

Ah Carrie you look so glam in these photos. I need to check out their perfumes, I know what you mean about not wanting to smell like everyone else out there. It’s strange when I smell Miss Dior on someone else because it’s my sister’s signature scent! Penhaligons is definitely a perfume to look out for.
Such beautiful pictures! I really want to check out their perfumes now.
Is anyone else still waiting for their copy of Wish magazine?

Lovely photographs too!

I had never heard of this brand before you mentioned it, so nicely done. I’ll have to make a mental note to hunt out a boutique in London sometime.
Also, lovely photo set. It is such a visual delight to visit your blog. My only complaint would be that we don’t see it often enough!
Your photos makes me want to buy it:)
You look stunning babe, I just love your cropped bralet with those floral trousers and as the spice girls once said “too much of something is bad enough” haha I actually remember the backdrop from your last trip! XX
Wow! I love the picture of you looking in the mirror.
You look so princess alike and graceful. A but like if you where from a fairytale.
