Penhaligon’s of London

You may have heard me mention fine perfumers Penhaligon’s over the past month as they feature as Wish magazine’s sole sponsor, meaning there have been a fair few of their beautiful bottles scattered about the house ready to photograph for various bits and pieces! Getting to know the brand through working with them has been a delight – their values couldn’t be closer to my own; made in England with a strong focus on the story or emotion behind their scent, rather than what is deemed trendy at any point in time. Timelessness is imperative if you’re still selling fragrances that were conceived in the 1900′s, but Penhaligon’s pulls it off perfectly, with 34 differing fragrances to their name. You’d only need to step inside one of their pom-pom filled-windowed London boutiques to understand why I’m so passionate about them!

After having our pick of bottles to photograph for a feature, I quickly decided on my favourite of the bunch – Lavandula. I never thought I’d fall for a lavender, but a spritz of this sweet floral is a far cry from the soapy associations I’d had with the smell. Not to mention, the bottle is pretty perfect too, right? A welcome addition to my dressing table, that’s for sure.

It makes a welcome change to wear something that hasn’t been advertised at every bus stop and in every glossy magazine; I feel quietly confident walking around smelling that bit more unique!

P.s – if things are a little quiet over the next few days, it’s because I’m about to fly over the pond! Expect 100% more sunshine in posts to come! x
