Le Teint Touche Éclat

Ta-da!

It’s not often I delve in to the realm of beauty here – silly really considering it’s something that the majority of us consider and spend time on each day..I often spend longer painting my nails than picking an outfit. I’m also one to spend a little more if I know I’m getting a quality product, which is why I’ve been a devout ‘YSLer’ since I bought their liquid eyeliner many years ago. Since then, there has always been a bit of YSL in my make-up bag. The beautiful packaging does it for me every time!

I couldn’t have been happier to be invited to discover their latest product, Le Teint Touche Éclat, a foundation based on the famous Touche Éclat. This involved being filmed marching across the Champs Élysées at 7am, bleary-eyed and bare faced before a makeover with some of their most celebrated products, including the very-much anticipated new addition, a foundation with the same light-reflecting qualities as it’s 20 year old sister!

Now I’m not used to opening my mouth in front of a camera, but my reaction when first feeling the product was very much genuine! The foundation is one of the lightest and silkiest I’ve used – which worried me a little as I like a very full coverage, but this manages to cover blemishes despite it’s light texture, all thanks to it’s lack of opaque fillers (a powdery substance that can make foundation appear more ‘caked on’) and the addition of a newly developed blurring-gel instead. I’ve become quite the expert on foundation, haven’t I?! I personally prefer to use a little powder to set it, as I find I can get a bit shiny whilst wearing it. Other than that, no complaints – it’s been on my face every day since I got hold of the bottle.

Also, great news for pale girls! The foundation comes in 22 differing shades, and mine (BD20) wasn’t event the lightest. Hurrah!!

It’s already for sale in the UK, and will roll out across the world over the next few months. (p.s if you haven’t tried their Vernis a Levres before, give one a go – they smell good enough to eat!!) x
