Swanning around
Hope you’re not feeling any motion sickness from the amount of toing and froing I’ve been doing these past few months. This post doesn’t come to you from America, but from a place I’ve photographed many times before – Portugal! Miguel’s hometown, and the place we’ll be spending our 6 year anniversary, too.
I can’t say my Portuguese has improved very much in the 6 years I’ve been visiting, aside from a polite “obrigada” or “boa noite” I don’t get much use out of Miguel’s first language, and I’m certainly not daring enough to try and string a sentence together. But I can understand! Each time ela is mentioned..I know I’m being talked about..or my ears perk up at the mention of gelado or batatas fritas!
I always find the small cobbled streets, old windows and doors a treat to photograph, and compared to boiling Las Vegas, the temperature here is a blessing. Still plenty warm enough for me to wear perhaps one of the most revealing outfits I’ve dared to publish, though. It’s not often I head out in a strappy crop top (complete with hole), but this matching Topshop swan-print set really won me over. Like I could ever resist an animal print!
I decided on orange nails and lips to match the swans beaks. Whilst I didn’t come across any real swans to pose next to, I made another bunch of furry & feathered friends who insisted on being included in the post too. Olá senhor pombo! x
