Wellington Boots

Barbour jackets are undeniably a festival staple, only I have a feeling they are more suited to muddy Glastonbury than the glorious weather we had last weekend! This outfit started off with a an olive green cable knit jumper, too, but with the schizophrenic English weather not being able to make up it’s mind, it was promptly taken off. So I was looking slightly more day at the farm than the rest of the colourfully-clad festival-goers, but it didn’t seem to matter at Wilderness where you can go on woodland walks and horse ride, as well as the usual festival assortment of music, theatre and food. If only Alexa were around – I bet she’d have brought her Barbour along too.

I’d not had the chance to go to such a small festival before, and was pleasantly surprised at just how amazing it was. Lucy and I spent our time doing anything from swimming in the lake to watching 40′s enthusiasts swing dance the night away (we had a little shuffle around ourselves). I’d recommend it to anyone – we spotted cooking classes, book shops, knitting lessons, an entire stand dedicated to blowing bubbles, and spent an evening singing along to Bugsy Malone songs with a mixture of old and young. I only hope I’ll be able to head back next year, as it made a delightful change from trudging across a muddy 1,100 acre festival site (yes, I’m looking at you, Glasto).

Thank you so much for bringing us along, Barbour! x
