When in Stockholm...

Black & Grey

If you keep up to date with my goings on via Twitter or Instagram, you might have seen that this week I popped over to Stockholm for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week with my pals at Bloggers Wardrobe. I had no idea what to expect from the city, but it was as lovely as I’d hoped, as were the girls that were milling around the fashion tents. I’ve been reading Swedish blogs since before I started my own, so had an inkling that the style over there was going to be rather enviable indeed.

My outfit for day one was all planned. I’d ironed a brand new Peter Jensen dress and popped on a pair of wedges before hot-footing it outside and towards the shows, but the weather in Stockholm had other plans for me and I quickly returned to my hotel to put on my comfy clothes. I quite often dress to match my surroundings and this was no exception – I’m not sure I saw very many colouful looks being snapped by the street style photographers. Acne was everywhere! So I dressed like the locals in black and grey. A bit of a different look for me, and not shapes I’d usually pick for myself either, but fashion is no fun if you don’t mix it up every now and then…and a grey jumper and leather skirt combo is hardly too adventurous!

More Stockholm to come very soon, with a few of my favourite details, new friends, designer discoveries and outfits that look a little more me! Thank you to the beautiful Chantal for taking my picture! x
