A Picnic with Wish

Bye bye, Summer

Summer is drawing to an end, and I’ve been making the most of it by picnicking at every available opportunity! Of course, with summer drawing to an end, the pile of magazines at Wish house is dwindling too. With recipes on how to make ice-cream shaped cake pops, a playlist of upbeat tunes, photoshoots at the zoo and a guide to the ultimate afternoon teas in London, it’s a magazine full of sunshine. That doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy it on a colder day, too, mind you! I’ve seen pictures from girls all over the world enjoying their mag with a warm cuppa and a slice of cake – the ultimate comfort read on a blustery afternoon, if I do say so myself!

I enjoyed glancing at my copy once again on my (rather windy) Sunday afternoon picnic. I brought it along as an excuse to tell you a bit more about features that you might not have heard about yet. Everybody has seen the Early Granny poster that comes with Wish, designed by the talented Sarah Clark, but the sweet Slumber Party illustration on the other side by Madame Lolina deserves just as much love! I’m going to put mine up on the wall as soon as I find the perfect frame.

You can also star your favourite products in the magazine with a set of star stickers! There is something so childlike about it – I remember doing the same around Christmas time with the Argos catalogue – of course, this is much more sophisticated ; ) If you still haven’t got your mitts on a copy, do hurry! I’m waving goodbye to the last copies of my little paper baby, finished and sealed by my hands, with a sprinkling of glitter and love.

I enjoyed my picnic so much, that my Topshop skirt was popping open on the way home. Oops. Food>fashion. x
