Not So Androgynous…
My fifth and final look for the ASOS Fashion Finder challenge – and this one is anything but manly. In fact, I couldn’t have felt more feminine in the key piece – a full skirt to twirl around in. But I took a hint from my new favourite skirt and made the look that bit more androgynous with hints of masculinity, with a briefcase bag and my coat draped over my shoulders. Tenuous links, perhaps, especially when the coat in question is pink!
It’s this kind of outfit that I’m most happy in – perhaps it’s the shape, or feeling particularly feminine. My coat was a gift from the Zalando collection, and despite it’s colour, I think it gives a hint of manliness thanks to it’s boxy shape – it’s certainly not like any of the other coats in my ever-growing collection!
I don’t think I did a terrible job portraying the trend for Fashion Finder, even if my styling tends to be rather girly! What can I say, I’d pick cute and fluffy over cold and edgy any day. Who is with me?! x

Looking at these splendid photographs is like being transported into a whole other era. One where classic, feminine tailoring is admired and bee-hives are big and bountiful, with not a single strand of hair out of place.
An utterly nostalgic – can you feel nostalgia for an era which you weren’t even alive in?! – and completely beautiful look.

love the girly and fluffy vibe this coat gives! I do think you did a good job incorporating the masculine elements in your more girly style. I think that’s a better approach than going all the way with the manly, since most of us girls do carry a feminine style, right?

How beautiful! I was thinking of purchasing that skirt, but i’m quite unsure of the size. I’m usually a 10 with a narrow waist, a bodyshape quite similar to yours. What size did you take, if i may ask?

I’m a size 12, but this skirt runs quite big and has an elasticated waist, so if you’re on the smaller size, even an 8 might work! : )
