Fashion Week Fatigue
My little corners of the internet have been a bit quiet over the past few days, and London Fashion Week is the main culprit. I’ve been rushing around the cobbles of Somerset House snapping away for the Cosmopolitan street style gallery, without a minute to tweet or Instagram what I was wearing on my own worn out feet! Well, here we have it. I realised when editing these pictures that I was a looking a little grumpier than usual – probably due to the fact I’d forgotten that my tootsies and these old Russell & Bromley loafers don’t get on too well! I was in a good mood, I promise!

On a far less glum note, this week I’m taking over on ASOS Fashion Finder! That means I’ll be sharing my favourite looks and taking part in a host of other features across the site from the 17th to the 24th. It wasn’t long ago that I signed up to Fashion Finder, fed up of the samey looks on Lookbook and on the hunt for another platform to share my outfits – if you’re not familiar with it, click on through and have a look at what I’ve been up to so far…
One of my tasks was to style up 5 items from the androgynous Man-Up trend, and this outfit was my first attempt. Androgynous isn’t really a word that sits too well with my usual flowery, cupcakey attire, so I welcomed the challenge! This blazer was the item that I was most worried about, in a print and colour I’d never usually pick for myself. But when paired with a few of my favourite pieces, it didn’t look a jot out of place. I’ll be posting the rest of my looks over the week, so keep an eye out! x

Such beautiful pictures! Love the funky edge the bowler hat gives your outfit. As an accessories designer I should be braver and wear fun shapes like this…..perhaps this weekend is the time I will try a new hat shape?!

This is a wonderful outfit, Carrie! For someone more accustomed to wearing gorgeous tea dresses than bow ties and boxy blazers, I think this look is perfectly androgynous and bound to give the other participants a run for their money!

Lately I’ve had a thing for dressing like a boy and this outfit is right on track! Will be using this as inspiration to mix up the old collared look, thanks! -jb.
