Weirdo

So, it’s tights time again. Dressing for the colder weather always takes me a bit of getting used to…I complain about having to wear tights but a few weeks down the line I get quite excited about colour matching my outfits with the right pair. Black isn’t usually on the top of my list, but with it being the beginning of the colder seasons, I don’t have many to choose from. I’ve already filled my ASOS basket with burgundy and rust coloured pairs in time for pay day, so be prepared for more colourful legs in the near future!

Black tights aside, my favourite bit of this outfit has to be the big ol’ collar. Unfortunately the dress that it’s attached to is a little too tight around the middle, so instead I decided to wear it as a top and pop a skater skirt over it to give it a shape that is infinitely more flattering for my body. I’m always having to come up with solutions like this as I’m always far too lazy to send anything back that doesn’t fit, resulting in more than a couple of purchases ending up on the “to sell” pile. Oops.

As for my bag – well, what can I say? It doesn’t lie. Any of my friends will tell you that weirdo is probably a rather accurate descriptor (I know the names of all the monkeys at Monkey World and don’t eat any fruit or veg, for a start), but we all have our things, right?! x

That collar is amazing! Pity about the dress though, I’m terrible for not returning things too, although it does make my close friends very happy. Looking lovely Carrie xo

I love the sharp structure of the collar paired with the soft pink and the skater skirt. very nice!I have been thinking about doubling ill-fitting dresses with skirts, especially now that it’s so brisk out!

I can’t wait to see more tights! I have a whole drawer full, gem colours and patterened black, nude, and baby pink. So many grey, too. And knee socks, delicate girly knee socks! (Must go stare at them) And I rather like you’re tote. The weirder the better, right?!

Very much loving this outfit, getting out the tights is one of the best things about it finally being Autumn! The collar is amazing too, the cut is actually quite subtle – so pretty 🙂 xoxo

    Beautiful!
Seriously, your my inspiration for styling outfits for my (and your) body type. Curvier but I’d like to keep it elegant. It took me a while to figure out which types of clothes I really have to leave in store and which ones I have to pile on.
Thanks for being such an inspirational dresser!

You are beautiful! Love your bag, Weirdo! And that vintage camera is amazing, did you made pictures with it or it is more like an accessorie?

Wow, I would wither away without fruits or vegetables (especially considering that I don’t eat meat), but I still wouldn’t mind a tote bag like that! Goodness knows I’m nerdy enough. Have a nice weekend, lovely Carrie!

I think I’ve taken for granted how well shot your photos are. How beautifully you’ve captured your outfit, it appears cinemagraphic and just beautiful.
Also, I’ve been very keen to own a yashica like that one in my camera collection. So cool!

I’m envious that you can just eat delicious carbs!I would eat at my favourite French cafe everyday if it didn’t mean my skin would break out horribly!

I was so sure this dress would be vintage and I was thrilled when it wasn’t… but then it’s sold out, anyway! Foiled!
