The Wish Ring

My Favourite

After a million zillion comments asking about the ring I wear almost every day, I thought it was about time I dedicate an entire post to it! Made out of 9ct yellow gold with a brilliant diamond dotting the i, it sits on my middle finger as a reminder of one of the biggest parts of my life (this blog, of course!). I’ve said time and time again that I’m not a jewellery person, but I’ll always make an exception for a dainty piece here and there, and ever since getting my hands on this (no pun intended), it’s hardly left my finger.

So, where is it from?! Unfortunately there isn’t a magic link I can paste in where you can buy your own, as it was a bespoke design from Timothy Roe jewellers, a family firm based in Chichester who got in touch and told me they’d like to create something for me. The idea was all mine (perhaps a little bit inspired by a certain Dior ring) – I knew I wanted Wish in some form, so communicated my ideas to the team who got back to me with sketches. I picked my favourite, and before long it was created in 3D on the computer so I got more than a good glimpse of how it might look in reality. This was followed by wax models, casting, filing and polishing before the diamond was set.  I couldn’t have been better informed throughout the process and found it fascinating. I honestly couldn’t think of anything better for somebody looking for a unique engagement ring (let’s just hope your other half is creative – I’m not sure I’d fancy “Miguel” written around my finger, despite wanting to spend the rest of my life with the fella).

Thanks again to the team at Timothy Roe for my favourite piece of jewellery. x
