Merry Christmas!
I’m writing this post from the comfort of my sofa in front of the fire in Somerset, surrounded by my silly (in the best possible way) family singing songs as they go about their business – this is my favourite time of year!
Last weekend I spent the day with a few of my blogging buddies, Olivia, Lucy & Kristabel. We met for lunch at Borough Market and proceeded to walk along the river to South Bank. Although, we weren’t prepared for the hundreds of Santas that would be joining us as they walked the route for the annual Santa walk. Father Christmas wearing trainers and drinking cans of Stella Artois wasn’t exactly the festive experience we were hoping for – it was all a little surreal! So we cut across Waterloo bridge and finished off our day taking some snaps at Somerset House before the sun went down.
I thought I resembled a Santa myself in my new red coat – an ASOS find. Either that or one of the Queen’s Guards!
I’m now permanently in my Primark ‘So Cosy’ tights – if you haven’t tried them, you must! They are extremely thick, but haven’t bobbled like wooly tights that I’ve tried in the past. Whilst there aren’t too many Primark products that I’d endorse – I really recommend these!

What a beautiful coat, I love the gold buttons. The atmosphere in these photos is very festive. For really warm and good quality tights I would recommend Marks and Spencer, I found a pair of extra thick tights in oxfam (the tights were new but without packaging, so I can’t tell you the exact type), they have served me well. Normal tights on the outside, soft and almost fluffy on the inside, I’ve had them for a year and almost as good as new!

Tights have always been an issue for me. Either too thin or if they are woolly makes me itch. I like the black ones with laced patters but they are not warm enough plus after a while the lace hurts my feet. So I found a very cool solution: I bought a whole collection of opaque tights with different colors. I wear them underneath and then the black laced ones on top. It gives a really cool effect and it’s great to pare with some outfits. You should try it.
