un café, s’il vous plaît

Paris

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of visiting my favourite city, Paris, to take part in a secret project – although I’m certain that by the end of this post who I’m collaborating with won’t be such a secret!

I couldn’t be more grateful for experiences like this, as for me, spending a day in Paris is the ultimate treat. From the food (if only I could have croissants for breakfast every morning) to the accents and architecture, I always bound around the city with a huge smile on my face – my travel buddy Shini will confirm this!

Another thing I love about the city is it’s cafe culture – no matter what the weather the French seem to be out in force, drinking their espressos and smoking a cigarette at a small table outside a romantic looking cafe. My rose-tinted glasses are most definitely firmly in place as soon as I step off the Eurostar, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

As for my outfit – I’m not usually the best at keeping things paired down, but I opted for a black, white and gold combo, which seemed to please passers by more than the yellow tights I was sporting on last year’s trip. One elderly monsieur took an interest in our little photoshoot enough to strike up conversation – we spent a good few minutes discussing language and how he had managed to obtain a terribly posh sounding English accent.

I’m already planning my next trip – à bientôt, Paris! x
