I ♥ Munich

♥♥♥

I took so many pictures in Munich that it was impossible putting together this post.  The beer halls, the markets, the architecture and the food – I  wanted to photograph it all! So needless to say, I’ll have to show you the rest of the city in another post…

Myself and Lucy hopped on a plane headed to Germany a couple of weekends ago, guests of Stylight (more on them very soon!). We couldn’t have had better weather – it seemed like Spring had arrived, and there is nothing better than exploring a brand new city in the sunshine, full up on a hotel breakfast of croissants, egg and bacon. We joined French bloggers Celine and Fadela and wandered the streets with the maps that Stylight provided us, heading to their recommended spots – including a river where the locals go to surf! Like every hungry blogger should, we stopped off for cupcakes at Wir Machen Cupcakes. I opted for a yummy-looking cinnamon roll – not the prettiest of the bunch, but certainly the tastiest.

I hadn’t done much research on Munich and places to go before I arrived, so was super grateful for our little map. The city centre is small enough to walk around by foot, and I felt far more at home than I ever had in Berlin. We sniffed hops as we walked past breweries, browsed the food at the Viktualienmarkt and finished our day sipping beer (or water in my case) and eating German food at Hofbräuhaus am Platzl – a huge beer hall with music playing and men in traditional Bavarian clothing gulping from their litre glasses.

Sadly our visit was so quick that I didn’t have time to put together any sort of guide, but I hope if you ever plan a visit then you’ll have a bit of a  starting point with the few places I mentioned above.

I’ll be back with more Munich very soon! x

Munich, as you rightly say, is beautiful. I haven’t been there in years, but I do want to go back to rekindle my German. Lovely photographs, as always.

I wish I’d bought that Primark skirt when I saw it – you make it look so expensive! =]

I wear it ALL THE TIME. Mainly ’cause it has an elasticated waistband so I can fit in more food ; ) haha. I’m sure you could find it on eBay or find one similar. x

Thanks for the suggestion! Non-elasticated skirts are just plain uncomfortable, I’m far too prone to cafe trips and the “food baby” look! =] x

Sweetie, have you ever thought about a get together with London readers!? Just wondering haha. Many bloggers do that, so I thought I’d ask! (: x

I was waiting for your post about Stylight ! Now that your blog is fixed I am really delighted to see your vision of the city. I’ve already read and saw the posts Fadela wrote about your trip there but also was pretty curious about how you’ll show the city to your readers and I am not disappointed, as always your pictures are beautiful.
