Paris
The last pair of trainers I owned that weren’t for exercise may well have been a pair of Reebok Classics (the first time around) or maybe even those flaming Buffalos that were all the rage…yeah, it’s been a while! When I saw these Nike Sky Hi Dunks online as part of their City collection (including New York, London, Milan and Tokyo in various representative colour-ways), I knew I had to have them. I didn’t have a clue how I was going to wear them, I just knew that they were beautiful, and the only way I’d ever be able to buy into that big ol’ wedge sneaker trend (yeah, I’m about a zillion seasons late, as usual).

Several eBay searches later, and they were mine. Brand new and boxed. I’ve still not got a clue how to wear them (I’m thinking some sort of tennis skirt and crop top?) but they are finally mine, sitting proudly in my line-up of favourite shoes. I’ve just learned that I’ll be making a quick stop in Paris in a few months – guess what I’ll be taking with me? ; )
(P.S – Apologies for the total overuse of parentheses in this post – I’m clearly giddy in trainer-love.) x

So chic ! I love them !!! Great pictures <3
Oh my! I’m a huge Nike fan, and just love these. Jello! *scuttles off to ebay*
OMG I remember those flaming buffalos, I think it’s the ones I took on my first trip to the UK when I was 13… these ones are beautiful though !

Very cute! I think the last pair that I owned that I didn’t wear for exercise was in grade school!

They get the thumbs up for sure
Haha, funny: I know that feeling. A pair of sneakers that looks great, buying it and then … then what? Like you said: no idea how to wear them. (I bought my latest pair in July and have worn them like … 4 times already, in a “classic sporty look” – i.e. with a nice pair of jeans and a casual top. You can check them out here: http://ellebasiisabelle.blogspot.be/2013/07/casual-thursday.html.)
I really do kind of like them. The last time I wore sneakers also was back in the Buffalo days. And I vaguely remember a pair of Adidas Superstar sneakers with mint green stripes around the same time too 😉
Can’t wait to see how you rock them!

they’re really lovely, i can see why you were drawn to them. the Mother of Pearl A/W 2012 collection may give you a couple of ideas! it really shows that the outfit doesn’t necessarily have to be ‘sporty’ to go well with trainers. i love the softer, feminine looks with trainers at the bottom. it really shakes things up! http://www.style.com/fashionshows/complete/F2012RTW-MOPEARL
they look super cute with skinny jeans rolled up just a tad
wow love it
