Meet the London Bloggers.

Bloggers and Cakes

A few days ago it was Lucy’s “blogiversary”, and we were wishing Snippets of Shiny Thoughts a happy first birthday. Of course, this group of London fashion bloggers never miss any opportunity to meet up – and a blog birthday was no exception.

We all met at the hummingbird bakery for cake, and then moved on to the Brown’s 40 years exhibition. The cake was fabulous, and i’m sure the exhibition was too, but I was so preoccupied chatting and trying to get my camera to work that I missed most of it.

Anyway, the point of this post. I’ve been so lucky to meet the most amazing people since I moved to London – i’m not sure people even know what blogs are where i’m from, so it’s always so refreshing to chat (and eat cake..!) with people you have things in common with. So I thought i’d introduce them to you – perhaps you’ll find a few new ones to follow! This is by no means everybody, but it’s a good start…

Couture and Crumpets

The lovely lady in the first picture is Daniela. I’d only met her once before, and she’s a real sweety. Her blog, Couture and Crumpets is about clothes, shoes, and more shoes. Daniela gives her take on trends and what she’s been wearing too.

Save Our Shoes

Well what can I say about Fiona of Save Our Shoes? i’m so glad I met this girl, because she’s a gem – she never fails to make me laugh. She is part of a blog-writing twosome; the other lady behind Save Our Shoes is LJ, who I am yet to meet. They blog about, you guessed it, shoes, as well as..style, music and..everything else really..! If you’re a blogger and you live in London, you’ve probably met Fiona, i’m almost certain of it.

Snippets of Shiny Thoughts

Now what can I say about Lucy? This is the girl that I text every 10 minutes keeping her up-to-date with what i’m doing..eating..watching..you know – we’re pretty inseparable and I wouldn’t have it any other way. We met for the first time at university – she is on the same course as me, and I remember her coming up to me telling me that she read my blog. Lucy’s blog is about her own ventures into the world of fashion, as well as a plethora of other creative things – she keeps a list of shows and exhibitions in her sidebar that she thinks her readers should visit! Our tastes are pretty different, i’m always teasing her for her loves of bright plastic jewelery..but aside from that we’re like two peas in a pod.

Park and Cube

i’m quite certain you’ll already know Shini’s popular blog already, and quite rightly so. I’m in awe of her beautiful photography, so i’m always excited to see her in action when we meet. She’s not only great at taking inspiring pictures – she always looks amazing..so if you’re in the minority that haven’t already, visit park and cube! P.S – Her DIYs are my favourite!

Style Slicker

I met Kit for the first time just the other day, and i’m glad I did because i’d never visited her blog before and now it’s a firm favourite. She has a photo-based fashion blog, and takes stunning images – just take a look at this post! Oh, and how cool are her studded leggings?!

The Fashion Cloud

Sadly I didn’t get to speak to Toni very much at all when we met, but I took a few snaps of her before my battery died and she’s too beautiful to leave out, right?  I hadn’t visited her blog before either, so The Fashion Cloud was a new one for me to follow too..!

Not Just Medical

Saskia was another blogger I hadn’t met before – but any girl in a hat and brogues is an instant friend of mine. She posts up her outfits and inspiration..another blog to add to my bookmarks!

Street Style London

I met Jill for the first time at London Fashion Week. She has huge talent for spotting beautiful, stylish people on the streets of london and her blog does what it says on the tin and more. It’s not just a regular street style blog, she’ll get to know the people she’s taking pictures of and not only tell her readers about them, but really capture their personality in her photos too.

Of course, these are only the girls that I got to meet up with this weekend, there are plenty more of you i’m very pleased to have met, and i’m sure there are many more to come. If you’re based in London and would like to join us on one of our outings, then let me know, i’d love to meet you too..!
