I’m either very brave or totally crazy to be posting pictures of myself in my swimsuit online..so please be friendly!
I was panicking when I was packing for my holiday, there was no way I was going to wear that tiny bikini again, but I didn’t have time to buy myself a new swimsuit (plus, i’m on a shopping ban, remember?!). Under instruction from Mademoiselle Robot, I turned to For Luna, which was obviously the best place to go for vintage inspired swimwear – it brought my search to a rapid halt with it’s selection – annnnnnd it’s UK based!
I went for a classic-looking polkadot number, kindly bought by my Mum as an early birthday present, and it turned up just a few days later at Miguel’s Nan’s house in Portugal. Impressive!
Whilst they are quite expensive, I can vouch for it’s quality. I don’t want to sound like an advert here, but i’m very happy with it, it holds me in in all the right places and i’d definitely recommend it. I’ll be spending the next few days getting it’s moneys worth of wear at the beach.
P.S – I spend a ridiculously long time creating a 50’s updo before heading to the beach, as I knew we’d be taking some pictures. It turns out that the wind had other ideas, and my hair ended up in a ponytail with my fringe pinned down to my head. Not so glamorous…!

Carrie, this vintage swimsuit is just lovely and it more lovely and the person who wears it is you. I love the photos Miguel and You are taken in my beautiful country, and as you said its kind complicated take photos in Portugal because the sun is really shinny. And I must say, in this battle between you and the sun, when I watch the pictures you take…the sun isn’t the winner at all cause they are just amazing.

a red forluna number has been on my wishlist for the past year but i’ve resisted thus far as i’m not going on any holiday where i’d be swimming so far! you look gorgeous and the navy polkadots was the perfect choice!

hamhock arms and globs of disgusting fat under your armpits, definitely things I wanted to view. what woman spends hours doing their hair to go to the BEACH of all places? how vain and stupid, it seems like you plan your life around photoshoots for this blog.
