My “Back to School” Wishlist

I recieved an email from a lovely lady recently asking if I could do a “back to school guide”, so here you have it. I don’t exactly feel qualified to guide you as to what you should be buying, but here are some things that i’d love for when I start univeristy in September – maybe it’ll give you some ideas too!

1. A new coat. I’ve mentioned it before, but I really do think it’s important to have a variety of coats, because when you live in England (or other cold countries) you end up wearing them every day, so it’s nice to have a mixture. A new coat for school/college/university will always boost your confidence. This black and white beauty is from Jovonna London.

2. A satchel bag. I have a thing about classic tan coloured satchels, I can’t stop buying them and it’s getting a bit ridiculous. And unfortunately for my bank balance, I’ve recently fallen in love with Mulberry’s Elkington. Although, more realistically, pictured above is a classic tan satchel by The Cambridge Satchel Company, that I came across over at LouLou’s blog. They’re both perfect for carrying books and laptops!

3. Some sturdy, comfortable ballet flats. I’m not one of those people that can get away with wearing heels all the time. I guess my feet just doesn’t agree with them, so ballet flats are perfect, especially for days when you’re going to be walking back and forth across your campus. I can’t even count on two hands the amount of pairs that i’ve worn to death, so i’ve recently decided to invest in a more expensive pair that’ll last me my first year of Uni (at least!) without falling apart. The gorgeous pair in the photo are from French Sole.

4. A watch-necklace. They’re so much cooler than wrist watches, in fact, i’ve already got the one in the picture above but i’m definately willing to expand my collection. Get this one from ModCloth to ensure that you reach all of your classes on time.

5. A new scent. New perfumes are always unusually exciting, it’s almost like spraying on a new persona. The right scent can give you a new-found confidence and a gorgeous-smelling identity (I hope you understand what I mean and don’t think I sound crazy..). The perfume pictured above is Miss Dior Cherie, but i’ve got my eye on Coco Mademoiselle..

6. A book for all of your lists! I LOVE writing lists, they always make me feel so organised. They’re perfect for when you’ve got a hundred things on your mind and need to set them straight. This one is from Listography, and not only contains a weekly planner, but a series of odd and quirky lists to keep you entertained when you’re procrastinating..!

7. Stationary stationary stationary. I can’t get enough of it, i’m waiting for my first shipment as we speak. It sets the school/college/uni year off to a great start even if I never use it for what it was intended. There is nothing like a fresh notebook (you always promise yourself you’ll use your neatest handwriting) and a new pencil case to fill with colours. You can find some really cheap (and not to mention cute) bits for your pencil case over at Artbox.

8. Where else are you going to keep your dinner money? A quilted leather coin purse from Topshop.
