I’ve featured acrylic jewelry here before, and got a great response, so i’m almost certain that you’re going to like Sunday Girl Accessories. They have an eclectic range of designs ranging from birds to teapots to name necklaces. I have to say that my absolute favourite is the white ‘Peter Pan Collar’ necklace featured in the picture above, imagine how that could compliment an outfit – very clever!
Lets get down to business – this giveaway doesn’t require simply leaving a comment – you’ve got a little bit of work to do first. You can win your very own necklace design! Mass produced designs simply aren’t as exciting or unique (although Sunday Girl Accessories is doing a pretty good job!) so Stephanie, the owner of the little shop, is letting you decide exactly what you’d like to win.

What you have to do:
Leave a comment on this entry telling me about your ideal acrylic necklace. This could be a couple words, such as “Blue Teapot”, or “silver diamond”. Or you could even do a quick sketch on your computer and upload it and let us see your design that way. You can literally communicate your design to us any way you’d like, as long as we understand what you’re talking about! It can be as detailed or as simple as you wish! Check out the designs at Sunday Girl Accessories for inspiration!
The colours you can choose from are: black, white, gold, silver, pink, purple, blue & red.
The winner will be picked by Stephanie and myself based on the most original and exciting design idea in one weeks time – Wednesday 19th August! Good Luck xx

It’s a lovely idea! I really like the wings necklace there, but I just got a funny idea! As my name means “calm sheep” I think I’d like my acrylic necklace to be in the shape of a little sheep, in black to honour my blog
xx
This sounds really interesting… Also, first!
black hedgehog
hedgehogs are the cutest
my name!
A gold goldfish
One of those with a fancy tail. Like this:
http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/willow/goldfish-info0.gif
I’d love that!
A lovely clever gold owl. Perhaps in a tree…?
a white snowflake. Yes yes yes. Just perfect for winter and christmas!
Red fawn ….♥
a white feather..unfortunately I can’t draw
I would really like an octopus in silver kind of a cartoony octopus. I can’t draw for my life though so I hope you understand what I mean.
I think this giveway is one of the best yet I love the idea and really hope to win.

A bit like this one
As a violinist i think it would be real cute if there was a gold violin charm with a bow (what u play with not like a bow tie) as well
A (Keith Haring) Angel in red. That would make a very special gift in remembrance of a very special person.
such a cool giveaway!
how about a pegasus necklace?
one that looks like this:
http://www.pegasusconstruction.net/images/pegasus_logos/pegasus_new_red.jpg
but in silver?
i think that would be pretty cool
I do clasps (is it said this way?, maybe brooch, i’m not sure) with cloths and I tried to look for original designs, always.
My idea for the accesorie is a bow tie or something similar like a ribbon or a noose in a dark colour like black.
I love versions that she has of the ‘Peter Pan Collar’!!
Thanks for the e-mail. It did not expect answer and it was funny.
P.S. It’s a little difficult for me to make a good comment, so sorry if i have some mistakes haha
Something like this i mean: http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/img-thing?.out=jpg&size=l&tid=348771
My design is Balmain inspired (which I know is overused right now, but its the first designer I’ve ever properly taken notice of and their pieces have really opened my eyes to fashion in general and other designers).
My idea was to have a sillouette of the classic Balmain suit….a high shouldered blazer and some cut off skinny trousers. The two pieces would be linked by a chain so they would dangle in the shape of a person wearing it.
I drew a quick sketch (which is really no good but it illustrates the general look)
The blazer is in two parts, somehow connected together. And the lapels are signified by a ‘line’ somehow cut into the acrylic (this is very hard to explain haha).
Anyway … I hope I didn’t just spout total rubbish and that you understand what I’m getting at
This is a lovely idea and I think I’ll defiantly be buying some stuff off sunday girl in the future xx
oh and I meant to say it would be in black too ! x
I love designing so i took some time to think about it. I have 2 ideas:
- A transparent locket in plastic witch you can open. There’s nothing in it so you can choose your own pattern to match your outfit.
Here’s the shape of the necklace, but it will be totally transparent.
http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/waterelfje/silfllocket.jpg
So you can draw, write, or print something on paper, cut it out and put it in your necklace,
here are some examples for inspiration:

http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/waterelfje/il_430xN_10920869.jpg
http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/waterelfje/3590137061_a78fce6b70.jpg
You can also put a picture of someone/ something in the locket.
Second idea:
- a simple necklace in gold or silver with a cute chess piece. The piece is not big, rather small and you can choose from all chesspieces. (my favorite is the chess horse)
http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/waterelfje/1382627720_2711a04801.jpg
I hope my ideas are understandable
This is probably very unoriginal, but I covet the peter pan collar necklace. If I didn’t do that I would do a big bow!
Love this giveaway.
I’d love a white peter pan collar with a black bow tie in the middle! That would look so cute;)
Wow, her designs are amazing. I loved the Peter Pan Collar too.
But I think that my ideal acrylic necklace would be a gold vintage frame, like this one:
http://static-p4.fotolia.com/jpg/00/06/12/47/400_F_6124729_911sByZfQdmoKaa1u6aUlIH3jV7tvw6v.jpg
off course not if all those details, but just with this kind of old, vintage shape. If I had a necklace like this one, all my t-shirt and blouses would become lovely pictures!!
xx
A pink (a really light tone) unicorn with a gold necklace.
Bacause of my huge obsession with Alic ein Wonderland, I would love a White Rabbit necklace. What colour should it be? Hmmmmm I think it should be white hehe. I think it would be great if the hearts in his outfit were holes. A simpler version of these perhaps………http://www.blackphoenixtradingpost.com/loclg_whiterabbit.gif and http://dclips.fundraw.com/400dir/Gerald_G_Rabbit_from_Alice_in_Wonderland.gif
xx
Oh, a little tiny golden suitcase! That would be so cute. It is a great reminder of exciting travels and new experiences that lie ahead too.
Haha, just a quick sketch: http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg148/fillaan003/suitcase.jpg
I made a plushie toy a few years ago that I call Bat Kid (it sits on my computer desk to this day!) and I think the shape would make a really nice acrylic necklace!
Here’s a picture of the design..
http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a56/gloomyjewel/necklacedesign.png
It would be black, the eyes and teeth would be cut out, and the outer bit of the eye+mouth line would be engraved (grey in the picture)
The shapes should be more like the plushie, I wasn’t very good at drawing the wings or feet.. or the eyes haha.
The chain could either be attached between the ears, or to the top corners.
I think it’d look super cute with a solid coloured top/tee/dress
Oh and it would be quite small, 2×2cm for the body? Unless that’s not possible with acrylic, I’ve no idea!
I think a traffic light on a chain would be a cute little idea. Traffic lights hang in the real world in the same way, and I always thought it would be cute to have one on a necklace
A silver hourglass would be lovely, so vintagey and unexpected..I could tell people it’s my watch!
A lemon. Just because lemons are never properly illustrated and given their due credit
white waterfall.
black turtle.
pink waterlily or plumeria.
blue koi.
can you tell i’m an island girl?
A white collar necklace would be great!
hahaha i love the idea that we can decide how is the mecklace
i would ask for a (electric) blue crown because that’s my favourite colur and that is a simbol that i just love or for a, again, (electric) blue lis flower. I don’t know how you call this flower but you can find what i’m talking about in this web: http://thumbs.dreamstime.com/thumb_78/1155829615SxQWJW.jpg ok?
thanks you a lot! i love your ideas!
id love a mask in red, one like this………
http://s819.photobucket.com/albums/zz114/highamkathryn/?action=view¤t=Photo148.jpg
Oh it’s so interesting to read everyone’s ideas… what an AMAZING giveaway!
Well, since I’m obsessed with peacock feathers (I want to have one tattooed behind my ear, but that’s a whole other story) my design would consist out of one, rather small peacock feather, executed in black, purple, blue and maybe a tad red. I browsed google for some good images and this painting looks exactly like the image in my mind; http://justinspaintings.com/images/p406_PeacockFeather.jpg
I also think this design would make great earrings, with the feathers peeping from behind tangles of hair… oh, well!
Her designs are truly delightful, the peter pan collar is obviously brilliant, but the bird and the deer are just as adorable.
A white imitation lace neckalce would be amazing, although very unoriginal I’m sure! This is a brilliant idea though, definitely saving the website for future use!
I would want something a lot like the key but in silver! I’m not very creative!
A collar of gold ivy leaves, winding around the neck and leaving tendrils and tiny leaves as it meanders. Not a choker, but the acrylic design would be wide and shallow, just below the collar bone. I’m trying to draw what I mean, but I’ve just recently decided to try my hand at drawing again, and, well, I suck. Maybe I’ll comment again with a picture, but if not… pick me, please!
I’d like one that is a teapot, then a little bit of a chain, and then a teacup, so it looks like it’s being poured into the teacup! I hope that makes sense… I really like Sunday girl accessories, I have a moustache necklace from there.
For some reason right now, I am really into raindrops! I love the design on Lullatone’s latest album (http://www.flickr.com/photos/lullatone/3359582833/) and their unique Raindrop Melody Maker (http://www.lullatone.com/news/raindrop-melody-maker-2/).
If Sunday Girl Accessories could come up with a design similar to that, with multi-colored raindrops, that would be really awesome! Maybe it would work best as a set of earrings
D
Ooh I think I’d want an elephant… my great-grandmother absolutely adored them; she collected loads of elephant ornaments and charms before she died, because they were her favourite animal. Recently I’ve been thinking about buying something with an elephant on it, in her memory… a nice white necklace with this sort of design http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o320/lucy_edward/cathy_dst07.jpg would be amazing!
i’d love a silhouette of a fox. i have a pomeranian that looks like a little fox (his nickname). it’d be adorable!
I would love a simply black necklace of this symbol… [ ]
its my husbands and i’s “secret” way to write “I love you”. we use it almost every day in little notes or a lot in letters when he’s gone with the military.
A little gold cupcake, I would say a teapot but the website already has a such design, so cupcake it is!
Or a little blue peacock silhouette haha
I love the peter pan collar necklace!
xxxx
I love the necklace with your name! But I have to think which of the two I prefer haha.
Thanks for the website!
I’d love a little pirate ship, in either black or gold. Similar to this http://www.freecraftunlimited.com/artwork/ship-pirate-mini.gif but obviously it wouldn’t be as complex, just a silhouette type thing.
I’d like something inspired by architecture, maybe some horrible 60s concrete monstrosity that at first glance looks ugly, but actually has a really beautiful structure. It could be made out of acrylic and made into something really pretty.
Oh dear, just realised the winner is announced the day I go on holiday. Hope this doesn’t matter :/.
I would have a simple chain with charms. The charms would be outlines of famous landmarks, so.. An eiffel tower, a Statue of liberty, a ‘big ben’, a sydney opera house and maybe a CN tower and a leaning tower of pisa. They would be in black, with a small gold star attached to the set also. I like the idea of lots of small things comming together to make one interesting peice of jewllery..
I would love an acrylic necklace in the outline of a tree, the trunk and the leaves, maybe with roots, it could be very detailed or even just a silhouette. Trees symbolize so many things, growth, stability, family. I think it would be quite a hit.
Detailed leaves and branches: http://dryicons.com/files/graphics_previews/romance_tree.jpg
