I’ve featured acrylic jewelry here before, and got a great response, so i’m almost certain that you’re going to like Sunday Girl Accessories. They have an eclectic range of designs ranging from birds to teapots to name necklaces. I have to say that my absolute favourite is the white ‘Peter Pan Collar’ necklace featured in the picture above, imagine how that could compliment an outfit – very clever!
Lets get down to business – this giveaway doesn’t require simply leaving a comment – you’ve got a little bit of work to do first. You can win your very own necklace design! Mass produced designs simply aren’t as exciting or unique (although Sunday Girl Accessories is doing a pretty good job!) so Stephanie, the owner of the little shop, is letting you decide exactly what you’d like to win.

What you have to do:
Leave a comment on this entry telling me about your ideal acrylic necklace. This could be a couple words, such as “Blue Teapot”, or “silver diamond”. Or you could even do a quick sketch on your computer and upload it and let us see your design that way. You can literally communicate your design to us any way you’d like, as long as we understand what you’re talking about! It can be as detailed or as simple as you wish! Check out the designs at Sunday Girl Accessories for inspiration!
The colours you can choose from are: black, white, gold, silver, pink, purple, blue & red.
The winner will be picked by Stephanie and myself based on the most original and exciting design idea in one weeks time – Wednesday 19th August! Good Luck xx

I would love a necklace in the shape of Kurt Vonnegut’s asterisk drawing. He’s recently become my favorite author and his work has had a very profound effect on me. That, or one shaped like the planet Saturn to remind me of the messages in my favorite book of his, The Sirens of Titan.
Oops! I forgot to say, the asterisk I’d like in black or if it was the saturn, I’d like it in gold.
A pink flamingo!
It’s the epitome of kitsch, which I love! :]
Ooo, or a dodo, in.. black!
I would love a miniature victorian portrait necklace! Something that is perhaps similar to this cutout I made,
http://www.flickr.com/photos/33735208@N08/3815532708/
only held together with a thin, black, scalloped frame.
I’d really like a small golden tree house, and I think this would be verry original and unique.
Or what would be also nice is a small white with red lighthouse. Yes, I’m verry into houses;).
But I prefer the first one.
Maybe I post later a drawing of my idea. But now I’m just back from my journey^^.
Oooh! A silver button!
I’ve just started burlesque dancing and so I thought I’d pick an image I could maybe wear at shows so I’ve done a ladies stocking leg and high heeled shoe. Something like the Moulin Rouge style. I’ve done a lil pic but I’m afraid it’s a bit wonky….
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v285/sugakube/burlesque.jpg
I thought little holes could be punched in the top to give the lace some details. I’d have it in black to match my outfits and to look like a proper shadow.
Love reading everyones ideas here! XX
On the peter pan idea, how about a black silhouette of peter pan flying?? it’s be really cute and magical, and represent childgoood and dreams xxx
a little girl holding a baloon
I would like to have a little blue crocodile, with its mouth just a little bit open, showing its teeth but at the same time smiling. Just because that would be really cute.
Black cup
My ideal necklace would be a “Golden Wayfarer”, that Rayban model. Because I’m absolutely in love with my yelllow wayfarer. And that will be the name of my blog
My perfect Saturday morning – a coffee mug or teacup, a pair of glasses and a guitar, all in silver or white. :3
An acrylic otter, in white or gold. Otters are my favourite animal and they’re SO underrated. You have no idea it is to find otter accessories, believe me, I’ve spent the last 5+ years searching – forget swallow earrings, dove pendants, cat brooches… otters should be everyone’s accessory
A small sagitarius symbol with a torch or some flames.
I’m a sagitarius and my element is fire so…The sagitarius in silver and the flame in gold or red or something. I leave the creativity to the creator on that part.
Great idea for a giveaway
what a lovely giveaway.
having thought long and hard about this i have come up with an idea i hope you don’t find too strange.
i am an english student at uni and have a major passion for reading expecially victorian literature and my favourite author of all is charles dickens.
therefore i think his silhouette in black would be darling, hung slightly off angle on a chain so the silhouette doesnt hang straight.
i dont know if this would be ok to make as it’s quite detailed but i know i would wear it with pride.
here is his silhoette to try and explain a bit better what i mean.

i know i’ve seen record adapters for 45’s worn as charms, and i really like how most of the record labels in England punched their 45’s to INCLUDE adapters already in the center (so you wouldn’t have to use an adapter (which is handy in djing, i’ll tell you). i’d really like a charm of a 45, but WITH the plastic sort of adapter in the center of it, if that makes sense.
i’m no good at linking pics and things, but i’d hope anyone reading would like music and records and know what i mean, ha.
A black ampersand would be adorable!
Or black thick rimmed glasses on a chain would be wonderful!
What makes jewelery special for me is when it reminds me of friends, family, or a big event. That’s why I’d make a necklace with a small gold picture frame hanging off of it, into which I could slide various pictures. It would be an ever changing necklace, but it would always be meaningful.
Here’s a little graphic I made to show my idea:
http://tinypic.com/r/15g6vid/3
The silhouette could be inlaid, or just be another layer on top of the base color.
I like this because it’s very traditional but would be made with modern materials!
Thanks for the contest! I adore all of the items on Sunday Girl Accessories!

I am leaving the city of Portland in a matter of days to go to school in San Francisco. I would love a silver version of Portland’s Fremont bridge to remind me of home.

All of those necklaces are soo cute!
I especially love the skeleton key one!!!
For my design I based it off of two of my favorite movies, The Secret Garden and The Little Princess. I couldn’t decide which one so I drew a sketch off two necklaces that I would pick from.
Hahaha I’m not an artist keep in mind =)
The first one is just a little bouquet of flowers with a bow tied on them. The second one is a crown with two little bows on each side of it. I don’t know if they could be multi-colored or not but I drew them the colors I would choose.

I would love a silver narwhal, because who doesn’t love narwhals?
here’s a picture of one:

A little black fawn!!
I would love a little spiral notebook necklace. It could be black or white, but it would go with everything since it would go with ME! I am an avid journal-keeper and writer and it would be awesome to have an accessory that personal and stylish as well!
The pink teapot necklace with a silver chain would be lovely!
I have been reading Antonia Fraser’s Marie Antoinette biography, so I am enchanted with all things French and fancy
I think a necklace with her crest would be divine. Here is an example (not my own):
http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pAHzzoB72Ww/SPe6TAplMCI/AAAAAAAAAIw/vZZ7rThx0dk/s1600-h/stemma.jpg
For something simpler, a fleur-de-lis would look beautiful done in the Sunday Girl style. As far as colors go, Marie Antoinette was rather fond of pale pink or light blue (and so am I!), but a royal purple would be just as suitable.
mine is a little boring. but i would like a black cat. a simple one sitting down. the catch would be that instead of a skinny tail i would like a “puffy” one but leave the rest of the body short haired. that’s what my cat looks like short hair on her body and long hair on her tail and around her face and nothing with black cats ever looks like that.
kinda like this…
http://www.freewoodworkingplan.com/graphics20/arpop-CatSilhouette2.jpg
but like i said, with a different tail.
oh at it would be a pin, of course.

A design based off of Marie Antoinette’s monogram in gold.
or
a firefighter’s helmet in red.
I love love love the white ‘Peter Pan Collar’ necklace! I’d love that so very much:)
I wouldn’t mind a silver/ white seahorse necklace too, then I would have something to match my lonely seahorse earrings!
id like a little mini robot in silver, with a little even smaller heart in pink (:
A pink bunny.
Because my best friend is a bunny & he loves pink
I would love a long, windy mustache with a short goatee in brown, roughly the correct size to be able to pull up to my face and go incognito whenever I wish!
These necklaces are amazing!
I cant post?

actually, blue tea pot is a cute idea :3 blue teapot it is! can they put the earl grey in there as well..?
My idea consists of a large gnome, in gold, or a giant cluster of mushrooms. Or a series of smaller gnomes, one in each color.
Also it would be cute to have a large snail pendant, either in silver or gold. The shapes of all the pendants would be silhouettes.

Thanks, this is a really fun contest!
A pink flamingo.
Or a tree in black with a little blue birdhouse.
How about a hot pink eiffel tower cut out shape, kind of on a slant, perhaps attached on one side of the chain by one of its feet and on the other side of the chain by its top?

Can I enter more that once by the way as I have tonnes more ideas!
Alice xx
a red strawberry!
not so creative but cute
I think my design would be a small, blue hummingbird.
I would pick this because the image of a hummingbird holds a very special place in my family. From as far back a I can remember my grandmother was a BIG part of my life. Both my parents worked a lot so she would often be the one taking care of my brother and me after school and into the evenings. Naturally, we developed a very close bond that lasted even when she no longer needed to pick me up after school.
She passed away last November. The last month or so of her life it was very hard for her to move around because of pain, but every day she would go out into her garden and watch the hummingbirds that flew from flower to flower.
So now, anytime I see a hummingbird or something hummingbird shaped, I can’t help but think of her and smile.
So yeah….sorry that was a very long winded explanation.
a porcupine or a ray or a hipocampus, all in silver!!
with a long silver chain!
I’m mexican, soo my choice would be an imix! It’s a glyph from the tzolkin mayan calendar and it matches my birthday. I could go on a rant about the topic but that is SO not the deal here… but try google, bet you’ll like it ^^
The imix: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:MAYA-g-log-cal-D01-Imix.png
a necklace representing either braces or a retainer would be so cooool
Yeah, ok. I like very much the word “Rocker” in colour pink with silver chain. I’m a rocker girl but I adore the colour pink and the kitsch accesories. I cross my fingers!
A ladybug on a leaf, kinda like this..

Or else maybe lika a Polaroid picture shape witha gap to slide in your own picture?
Mucho Love xo
Sorry last email address was the wrong one XD xo
a blue wellington boot with a silver drangonfly dangling off it.
I would love to have a stag head necklace in either gold or brown, whichever suited the design best as I can’t actually decide myself!
I drew an illustration of one that I thought up a little while ago with flowers blossoming from the antlers that I think would look really lovely as a necklace, I’m hoping it wouldn’t be too complicated but I have a feeling it is! I love including fantasy elements to things so the necklace would suit me perfectly.

or this deer that I drew:
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3506/3466279651_9512d1a0f9_b.jpg
another idea I had would be to have a fox mask pendant in brown, such as the one I drew here:
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3299/3244835433_e29116edae_b.jpg
What a lovely and creative giveaway idea! x
