Another video!! I had to go to Camden to do a little research for a Street Style book i’m putting together for university, and maybe I have too high a standard because I didn’t manage to find anybody that I wanted to photograph – obviously they are all sane and were avoiding the weekend crowds.
This meant we had the time to make another video! I say we, but it’s pretty evident from the video that I was more interested in shopping – Miguel kept catching me by surprise, resulting in a lots of clips of me awkwardly poking my tongue out..! We were going for a different feel from the original video we made – I hope you like it!
If you’ve been to London, you’ve probably been to Camden. Being there reminds me of being at some sort of festival, all the food, the loud music, the huge variety of people. I hope we’ve managed to capture what it feels like at Camden Markets on a Saturday for those of you that have never been. (and if you want any additional info on shopping in Camden, feel free to ask!)
The music is by The Libertines and the clothes (i’m afraid to say..!) are all from Topshop – I didn’t plan on wearing the red beret again, but it gave the dark outfit a much needed colour-pop! And I finally got to wear my winter boots! xx

LOVE that song in the video!!
Great post, yet again
The video is really good and you look absolutely lovely!
Nice video! I didn’t buy my perfect winter boots thinking I could get them from a different branch, but unfortunately I’ve not seen them anywhere. I still need to get some because my feet are freezing
love your hair
I say you managed to capture the best of what Camden has to offer on a not-so-nice day, but it’d be a great constrast if you made another film about Camden on a really sunny day! Not saying I didn’t love this one, you make all your films so cozy and warm despite the weather and I love that
x
Lovely video and photos! This friday I will visit London, I will try to spend some time in Camden Town!
I loved it. I just got home after a 7 days vacation in London, we lived in Camden. You should try to go up to Chalk Farm underground, there is a kick ass vegan cafe – they have the best cheese cake. And the man who owns it, is so kind! Anyway, my experience is that there often is some cool people around a pub called the enterprise. Good luck with the book!
I love the video! I’ve always wanted to go to London, and Camden in particular, it’s made me very very very determined to get myself on a train, and fork out to get there! Haha
You’ve made me hungry with them pictures, that I could, to be honest, eat right now. Such perfect winter boots, I’m still on a hunt for mine, hopefully they’ll appear soon!
Thanks for the comment on my blog by the way, you’re my favourite blogger, and it made me very happy to see you’d posted on mine :’]

Such an adorable video — and as many have said, inspirational! I love fash-blog videos.
I did want to pop in and say (and I really don’t do this frequently, I swear!) that my blog-partner (Jenny) and I recently posted a collaborative discussion on the “art” of overdressing, or rather, investigating the implications of overdressing. Things like: is it impolite to overdress, and where? What class assumptions do people make based on someone who’s overdressed? Plus, obviously, we tell embarrassing high school stories about ourselves! I thought this might be interesting to fashion bloggers who don’t otherwise read our blog, because it touches on something that affects all of us (being, some or of a lot of the time, the most dressed-up person in the room).
Anyway, after all that ramble, the post is here: http://fashionforwriters.com/2009/10/25/ffw-heart-to-heart-wearing-a-cocktail-dress-to-the-grocery-store-or-the-implications-of-overdressing/
Thanks for all the work you put into the blog –

love the video…very creative and interesting. And your outfit is adorable
What a fun video! Your boyfriend is really talented. I really like your lace-up boots!
Great video! And cute outfit!
Girl, this place is amazing. Where I live (Brazil), it’s really hard to find some cute places to go. Oh, the video it’s great too. I love your clothes, including the adorable red beret that you’re repeting =P
I’m from Brazil, but my blog is written in english too.
xoxo
Camden is so much fun! I haven’t been there in a few years but it was by far one of my favorite stops in England. Your street style book project sounds great! Will you be posting any samples from it?
You’re so beautiful dear !! I love your video posts, and of course the setting is great, you look like you’re in a movie !
Such a wonderful video!
I love the song, too.
xx
Wow, Camden seems to have changed so much since I first went there 5 or 6 years ago! I’m planning a quick trip there tomorrow actually, I hope there are still a few things that haven’t changed! x
this is a fabulous post, love every bit of it!
the video is so cute!
I was actually in Camden yesterday! I recognize that donut stand for sure. Love the shoes.
You are precious! The only thing missing from these videos is us getting to hear your voice!
High five to Miguel too for his amazing work. They’re really well put together and it’s so nice getting to see your outfits in real time!
p.s. that video….fantastic!!! what kind of camera are you shooting with?
Your videos are so sweet! They make me wish I had a video camera equipped boyfriend too : D
And Camden is cool, but I always get this little awkward feeling that I’m in a tourist trap while i’m there.. from what I’ve heard it’s really not the same it used to be. Nonetheless it’s definitely worth visiting and there’s still some amazing shops if you know where to look. I like North London generally as a lot of my favourite London venues are on that area. Aaaahh you always make me miss London so badly!!
ps thanks for your lovely comment x
Love your video
nearly watched it twice.. I want to go to Camden so badly now..
I have the same question with amanda:)

To those of you asking about equipment/editing, I posted a bit of info on the Vimeo page itself at http://www.vimeo.com/7240161

That video camera/SLR is so amazing!! And you look beautiful in the pictures and in motion. But I’m sorry my attention was so so on the glazed donuts. Mmmm…
I was going to say with such beautiful narrow depth of field this must’ve been shot on a Canon! I wish Nikon would come out with an SLR that shoots video
Gorgeous! This works well as a Camden Tourism video as you’ve made me want to jump on a plane and visit!
XX
I love todays post.
