Everyday Is Like Sunday

..Get macaroons in all colors at La Duree in St. Germain, then sit at the Seine to re-read your worn out copy of “Anna Karenina”..

..Have your breakfast on Hotel “Bauer Grünwald’s” terrasse at the Canale Grande in Venice and write the vintage postcards you picked up from a dusty shop…

…Wear it over that black lacy bra and bake a cake after your grandma’s receipt while listening to a mix tape your best friend made you when you were 16…

…Hot chocolate..fun..bike rides…farmer’s markets..
The Strand bookstore…beach walks…honey bread breakfasts..
A collection that shares it’s name with a Morrissey song is always going to be a winner in my books.
Family Affairs (literally, a mother and daughter partnership!) have one of the most beautiful lookbooks i’ve been lucky enough to stumble across. Of course, the clothes are beautiful themselves, but beautiful pictures always ’seal the deal’ for me. There is nothing like beautiful imagery to get me interested in a collection, but Family Affair don’t stop there - alongside each picture they detail what the model is wearing, just how it fits, a sugary sweet description of how and where the clothing should be worn and a poignant lyric to match.
Reading those beautiful descriptions sent me off into a little saccharine Carrie-bubble where all I wanted to do was write postcards, read books and eat cake, unfortunately the many University deadlines i’ve got pulled me right back down to earth - but what i’d do for that beautiful star-print dress..ohh..I can dream. x
P.S - I totally just treated myself to a couple of the sale items - what can I say, they were perfect, and it’s quality, not quantity, right?

I’m totally in love with the little instructions with each photo. I f I didn’t have so many deadlines this week, too, I’d definitely do some of them.

That model is just beautiful.. It makes me wonder if I could pull off those clothes as well as her.. Its worth a try though… the scary part is buying, tryiing, and looking like a frumpy grandma instead of a “grandma chic” model!
I do ABSOLUTELY LOVE the dress at the top.. Thinking of finding it and buying that one. THAT i can do.
