Things That Make Me Smile.

1. Starting off the list with something that definitely doesn’t make me smile – when you go out to take photographs and your equipment breaks. This happened to Miguel and myself last night when I was trying to get some photos of my new dress, but we learn from our mistakes…never use a large flash umbrella on a windy day in England..take it from me…

Still..we came away with two photos…

2. Anna Karina. A little while ago we watched the film Alphaville in class, and I fell in love all over again. I already had a folder on my computer dedicated to pictures of this woman, but the way she looked in Alphaville blew me away. She’ll always always be my hair muse. Check out the video below!

3. Textbook by Mr John Jannuzzi is a truly fabulous blog – and i’m not just saying that because he featured my video. I don’t read many blogs written by guys, but I really should, there are days that i’d love to be a boy just to dress in their clothes and I much prefer the men’s section of Lookbook.nu…but that’s besides the point..
He pulls the greatest poses in his outfit shots, but my favouritist part of his blog is when he posts collages of what fictional characters would wear if they jumped out of their pages and had a designer budget. lovely!

4. I spoke a few days ago about how i’d been religiously checking Tumblr for inspiration. I’ve become obsessed! There are so many users that have a talent for finding the most beautiful images on the internet, and one of my favourites is misswallflower. This girl must have have a computer full of pictures – i’d love to see what her bookmarks look like! Check out the blog for sickly sweet pictures (nearly) all day, every day.

5. Finally something for you to spend your Christmas pennies on! Chez Sucre Chez sell an assortment of different things – tote bags, stuffed toys and bits and bobs, reusable sandwich wrappers (OMG WANT), but my favourite of all their wares is the cross-stitch. A cross-stitch with The Smiths lyrics on is always going to be a winner! And if you want to make your own, they also sell cross-stitch kits..i’m VERY tempted…

6. Daydream Lily and The English Muse have come together to create something very clever, and for those of you that blog, very useful too! Lily and the Muse is a website solely created for the the purpose of sharing “beauty in motion”, this is where to look if you fancy a bit of a daydream. Think of it as a “pretty” YouTube!

Finally, i’d like to wish you all a very happy new year – I hope you have a great evening x
