Always Orla Kiely.

It’s still far too early to be going outside with bare legs, the snow blizzard outside earlier today was testament to that, but a girl can’t help but dream. I took a look at this beautiful collection from Orla Kiely in September as Fashion Week last year, so if it looks familiar, this is why! Now finally the Look book is online, with the amazing video to accompany it, and i’m totally inspired for when the sun decides to show up.

It’s crazy because in less than 10 days it’s London Fashion Week, where everybody will be reporting on the clothes and trends for NEXT winter, and we haven’t even had a chance to sample any of the Spring Summer looks yet. I suppose that’s the way it works but it’s always a little confusing. I try not to confine myself too much by what the weather is doing, like most of the girls in England i’m always a bit too optimistic when I see a blue sky  (I can assure you that going out wearing a sheer blouse and thin trench coat is not a good idea!)

Anyway, like most of the other blogs i’ve been reading, i’m more than ready for bare legs and ankle socks. The shorts/blazer/bow tie combo is (predictably) my favourite, it feeds my particular need to dress like a young boy. I’m going to keep checking back to find out the prices when the new season goes on sale, which I doubt my student loan will cover, but perhaps if I start saving now…
