Christmas Presents: A Giveaway

Just for you…

I hope you all had an amazing Christmas Day! Boxing Day is definitely just as good, with time to play games, eat leftovers, and appreciate your gifts. Well, like promised, I have a few more to add to the pile!

By complete coincidence, I’ve ended up with 2 of each of these items, so it made sense to give away a little bundle to one of you as a late Christmas present. It includes the coveted Frankie Diary (I’ve started writing in mine already!) & the red Mischa Barton bag from MyBag.co.uk, seen in my post last week. Also, a little handmade coin purse – a gift from a lovely French reader who makes them for her shop, Lait et Miel, and to finish, a striped jumper with elbow patches, something I accidentally ordered twice from YesStyle!

The perfect little package to begin 2012, don’t you think? The jumper will fit almost anyone as it’s oversized, and the bag is just the right size for an SLR camera, something I’m always on the hunt for!

All you have to do is leave a comment on this post, no ulterior motive : ) I’ll post internationally, and will announce the winner on the 2nd of January. Have an amazing Boxing Day! x

Silent Sundays: A Giveaway

Milkmaid

It’s an odd thing, posting pictures of outfits on your blog. Some are simply taken as you’re going about your day, as the ‘What I Wore’ title might suggest, but others are more obviously planned – photoshoots almost. I can assure you that I don’t wander about in bare feet climbing trees on an average day, but as soon as I received this TBA Isobel dress in the mail from Rhiannon and Jamie of Silent Sundays, I knew exactly how and where I would photograph it.

This is where Miguel’s dad lives, out in the middle of nowhere in Portugal. I spent my time there playing games and watching TV, with car journeys to the beach where we ran from crashing waves and made friends with fisherman’s dogs (I took the film camera along with me, so you’ll see at some point!). The highlight was definitely the month-old kittens that greeted us when we arrived, I wish I could have brought them home with me.

Anyway, let’s talk about the dress. Not being stick thin, and the dress being a size L, it probably wasn’t as flattering on me as it would be on a model, and the stiffness of the fabric made it stick out in awkward shapes. But I’m sure if I popped on a pair of platforms I would feel a million times more confident. I had lusted after the dress since I had seen it in the lookbook, but not seen it on anyone other than a model, so I hope this helps if you were also interested in the dress!

Win a $75 Voucher

Unfortunately it has now sold out in the Silent Sundays shop, but luckily, Rhiannon and Jamie would also like to offer one of you a $75 voucher that you could spend towards something in the designer section (they have some amazing brands! TBA, Secret Squirrel, Family Affairs – heaven!!) or on their handpicked vintage items.

All you have to do is pop over and ‘Like’ the Silent Sundays Facebook Page and then leave a comment on this post letting me know what you’d buy with your voucher. The giveaway is open internationally and the winner will be drawn at random on the 15th of October. Boa sorte, as they say in Portugal ; )

P.S – If you like this ‘photoshoot’ of sorts, I uploaded more of the pictures on my Flickr that I didn’t post here in a bid not to look too self-indulgent!
