So Loves Vintage (and so do I!)

We All Love Vintage!

A giveaway I promised so a giveaway you shall get..! You might have spotted Sofia’s vintage shop, So Loves Vintage, in the sidebar as she’s been sponsoring recently – I hope you’ve taken a look because she’s really got some gems in stock. I’ve had my beady little eye on the military style cape pictured above since I saw it on the website, and the 70s trousers look so Chloe – but this isn’t about what I want – because one of you will be getting a freebie!

Sofia would like to offer you a dress from the day dresses section of her shop – all of her vintage is great quality, as expressed by the prices, so i’m sure you’ll find something to fall in love with.

To enter all you have to do is write a comment on this post telling me which dress you’d pick from this section, and for an extra entry, sign up to the website and let me know in your comment! Nice and simple.

And in other news…

I’m stress free for a little bit! Last week was manic, with 2 huge hand-ins within days of each other, I was pulling my hair out. I’m so happy to be blogging again – so i’ll see you back here tomorrow..! x

On Visiting Wells…

Wells

There isn’t an awful lot to do in Somerset, but I had managed to write a list as long as my arm of places I wanted to show Lucy whilst she was here for the week. Of course, an obligatory visit to my nearest city, Wells, was in order. It’s the second smallest city in England, did you know?!

Whilst I don’t see it as somewhere you would travel very far to visit, it’s nice to see if you are in the area, so I thought i’d show Lucy around my favourite spots.

Vintage? Yes Please

A spot of vintage shopping was first on the agenda when we visited one of my favourite places – the Wells Trading Post. It really is a treasure trove, and I came close to buying a picnic basket and antique white smock dress (perfect combo, no?!) before Lucy quickly brought me back down to earth, reminding me of my shopping ban. Boo! The little bear above was one of my favourite finds too – I always seem to find one sitting in a corner somewhere looking sad..and it usually ends up in my bedroom at some point or another…

Posing Time

A trip anywhere wouldn’t be complete without a bit of posing at a picturesque location – or maybe that’s just us bloggers! We parked ourselves up outside the Bishops Palace moat to eat ice cream and take some pictures. The glorious weather has not helped my photography as of late – it becomes increasingly difficult to find shade to take pictures in, but Lucy managed to snap a few of my new Lowie playsuit and in return I took a few of her with her brand new super-soft Mulberry Leah, fresh from the factory shop in my town.

Sadly Lucy has now gone home, taking her hat with her (I took every opportunity to pose in it!) but i’m determined to find my own, even lovlier hat…once this shopping ban has lifted..! x

Come back tomorrow for my Glastonbury pictures!

An Orla Kiely Girl

Coat – Elizabeth Lau, Dress – Orla Kiely, Bag – Orla Kiely, Shoes – Topshop

I has taken me such a long time to post up my Orla Kiely bits – I bought them at their sample sale a little while ago (this is why I love living in London!) when I went along with Katie, who persuaded me to spend far more of my student loan than I was willing to, but £60 for a dress is cheaper than something that you might find in Topshop. It really is worth looking out for these sample sales..!

The coat (which you will recognise from the giveaway) was very kindly gifted to me from Elizabeth Lau, who I have met a number of times. They told me they knew as soon as they saw me that I would be the kind of girl to wear Elizabeth Lau, and they were right. I was a little unsure of wearing a coat with short sleeves at first, but now I never take it off – it’s perfect for this rainy summer we have over here.

This is the exact outfit I wore to see She & Him a little while ago (who were fabulous by the way). I’ve been channeling 60′s looks lately and this kitschy ‘lovebird’ print is perfect for that – I can imagine something similar as a wallpaper.

In other news; posting has been very slow lately, but i’m finally back in Somerset for the summer, so expect far more posts than ever before!
