A Film by WishWishWish & Nadinoo
This is what I get up to when I’m not blogging! A few months ago I contacted Nadia, one of my favourite British designers (whose label, Nadinoo, I’m in no doubt you already adore), with the idea of creating a short film based around her Autumn Winter collection. So we set about finding a way of depicting the three fictional characters that Nadia designs for – Pixie, Lula and Fleur.
We enlisted beautiful Roz of Clothes, Cameras and Coffee to embody all three, and doesn’t she do a perfect job?! Take a look as Pixie quietly observes birds from the comfort of her camp, Fleur solves mysteries with the help of the moon and the stars, and Lula gets up to her usual mischief!
I couldn’t have had a better crew of people to help me – thank you Miguel, Roz, Nadia and Emily for putting up with all that mud and walking!
I hope you all enjoy it. And thank you Nadia for your pictures! x

So this is what I’ve been up to…
A video where I’m not strolling around in the sunset!? It is indeed! The above video and stills are proof that I’m not always eating cake! For a second year project at university, I was required to design, create and market a concept perfume vessel for the designer Richard Nicoll. Now, I have zero knowledge and/or interest in product design, so to spin the project my way a little and create something I could be proud of, I decided to create a video to symbolise the philosophy behind my perfume design.
The vessel itself was a rosewood kite with a sliding silver lid, revealing a fresh-smelling solid perfume underneath. This locket was joined to an oversized safety pin by two silver chains, one featuring a silver tag with hand-hammered text – the name of the perfume – “Flight”. It was designed to be worn on a shirt collar, with the safety pin attached to a pocket, or lapel. Despite hours of sanding and polishing I still wasn’t 100% happy with it, but isn’t that always the way? I can’t say I’ll be taking commissions any time soon either – it took bloomin’ ages!
With the help of my talented boyfriend Miguel I created this video that was shot in a couple of hours in the park behind my house – I hope you enjoy it! x

And, head tilt…
We couldn’t not make a video in this beautiful setting…so here you have it! It’s become a bit of a joke between Miguel and myself how the majority of our videos see me walking..and sitting..and looking around..and then walking some more..perhaps it’s our specialty? I like to call them ‘moving pictures’. Either way, there wasn’t much else to film in the woods, and despite following a compass, we never made it to the lake that Google maps had promised us for an ‘epic’ ending. Still, I hope you enjoyed the little video anyway, lake or no lake!

Here are the socks making a second appearance – primarily to protect my poor legs from the nettles, along with my sturdy boots that were caked in mud by this point! On the other hand, the super-floaty dress is from Modcloth – it’s always a springtime favourite as it’s so easy to wear, even with a pair of muddy boots!
I received a couple of emails from people wondering where we stayed on our little log cabin holiday in the Forest of Dean. We booked it with www.forestholidays.co.uk and I totally recommend them (all the cabins have hot tubs – win!!) x
