♥♥♥
I took so many pictures in Munich that it was impossible putting together this post. The beer halls, the markets, the architecture and the food – I wanted to photograph it all! So needless to say, I’ll have to show you the rest of the city in another post…
Myself and Lucy hopped on a plane headed to Germany a couple of weekends ago, guests of Stylight (more on them very soon!). We couldn’t have had better weather – it seemed like Spring had arrived, and there is nothing better than exploring a brand new city in the sunshine, full up on a hotel breakfast of croissants, egg and bacon. We joined French bloggers Celine and Fadela and wandered the streets with the maps that Stylight provided us, heading to their recommended spots – including a river where the locals go to surf! Like every hungry blogger should, we stopped off for cupcakes at Wir Machen Cupcakes. I opted for a yummy-looking cinnamon roll – not the prettiest of the bunch, but certainly the tastiest.

I hadn’t done much research on Munich and places to go before I arrived, so was super grateful for our little map. The city centre is small enough to walk around by foot, and I felt far more at home than I ever had in Berlin. We sniffed hops as we walked past breweries, browsed the food at the Viktualienmarkt and finished our day sipping beer (or water in my case) and eating German food at Hofbräuhaus am Platzl - a huge beer hall with music playing and men in traditional Bavarian clothing gulping from their litre glasses.
Sadly our visit was so quick that I didn’t have time to put together any sort of guide, but I hope if you ever plan a visit then you’ll have a bit of a starting point with the few places I mentioned above.
I’ll be back with more Munich very soon! x

by Kenzo
You may have noticed that last week my blog was suddenly covered in red poppies! If you clicked on them you would have spotted Kenzo’s latest campaign for their Flower by Kenzo fragrance, a beautiful short film where the streets of Paris are filled up with poppies, rising from the river Seine. Flowers + Paris is a dream!

When I received the press release, a USB attached to a dozen paper poppies, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity of shooting a few pictures with them. I couldn’t make it to a field full of poppies, so instead I brought the poppies to my bedroom. Now to find them a permanent place to display them – I’m thinking on my desk. There is nothing like that flash of red to brighten my mood, it’s fast becoming my favourite colour.
If you haven’t already seen the campaign, be sure to take a look – I know you’ll love it, it’s magic. x

Styled in Celia
Just a few days ago one of my dearest friends, Katie, sent over a link to a treasure trove of a Photobucket account, full of of pictures that we’d taken aged 15 and in our last year of school. Apparently our favourite pastime was taking photos in toilets and pulling silly faces. It made me come over all nostalgic and wishing that I could go back in time. Then I sat down to edit this set of pictures, and I realised that things aren’t really all that different now. The faces might be different, and we may have bigger cameras and shinier shoes, but these girls make me feel 15 again. I’m so pleased to have found a bunch of ladies that enjoy laughing as much as I do. Whenever I’m asked what my favourite thing about blogging is, my answer is always the same: the friends I’ve made.

All that soppy stuff aside, we were all styled up in an item from Celia Birtwell’s debut collection for Uniqlo. Such a fun collaboration – I was excited to see what everybody had picked to match their personality. I opted for a star print dress, whilst Dunya, Kristabel, Olivia and Lucy had gone for other pretty printed pieces, like floral shirts and bright culottes. The prints in the collection are reminiscent of Celia’s famous prints from the ’60s and ’70s – and you know how hard I find it to resist a good vintage-inspired print! The collection isn’t in stores until the 21st, so write it in your diaries – everything is so cheap<3
I couldn’t help but pair my outfit with this quite frankly ridiculous cat bag that I found on ASOS Marketplace. It certainly divided opinions when I posted it on Instagram, but I love it! It got a fair few funny looks on the tube – but I always take that as a sign that I’m doing something right ; ) x
